This outlier situation shouldn't be possible...
and it shouldn't require perks to fix.
Edit: For those so desperate to see the entire match.

So instead the devs should just give you a whole 1 minute and 25 seconds before anyone can start working on the objective, in order for you to catch someone?
8 -
Wow... it takes 80 secs to finish a gen.
And these guys only took 85 secs to finish 3 gens lol. Including travel to gens.
And yet some people still think "gen rush isn't real" or "just pressure" or "git gud"
19 -
That's not a very good suggestion.
11 -
The already do that in the form of a Perk called Corrupt Intervention. Guess what? It still barely helps.
15 -
Why make this post when you know people are gonna write "The match isn't over until all of the Survivors either die or escape"?
I'm sorry but by now everybody knows all the circlejerks of this forum, I see little reason to keep it up since we know the stance of the only people that matter, the Devs.
There is no solution, if you want you can just go AFK or stop trying and wait for the next match.
7 -
It is true though, you people dont seem to be satisfied unless all 5 gens remain and you 4k effortlessly.
This guy just shows some footage of when the gens pop, what was he doing in those 80ish seconds before the gens popped? Was he patrolling the gens? Was he playing dumb?
Nah, all that matters is some anecdotal evidence.
9 -
Neither is using a singular case scenario as hardcore proof that gens go by fast.
You never included the part when you engage in a chase. So it’s really hard understand why it took you 1 minute and 25 seconds to hook someone. Was it the set up? Did you miss a hatchet? Etc
Much of why gens go by fast is the missing skill gap in some of the killer playerbase.
In other words you can get into a match right now and just tunnel the first survivor you see and KNOWINGLY give up on the gens and hope that they used enough pallets so that the next time you’re in a chase they will have nothing to work with because you knew gens were about to pop.
That’s an example of why you can’t just present one scenario (or a snippet of it) and expect the rest to understand if there is really a “gen speed problem”.
7 -
Corrupt Intervention isn't even that good, on a large map (which are sadly very common now) it blocks out 3 gens and still 2 or 3 can spawn far from you.
They really boned killers with this Ruin nerf, we'll still see the ramifications of that nerf for months to come.
5 -
The match is over when a party is able to put too much pressure on the other, Survivors right now have all the advantages they could get during the early game meaning they are free to put pressure (doing Gens), this is why many people say that most matches are up to Survivors' mistakes, in these scenarios they have an outrageous upper hand unless they messed up with the Gens' positions.
Coming back is an option only by capitalizing on a bad save (proxy camping), tunneling down one guy before other gens get done or simply being against the worst loopers in human history.
In my experience late game is not as important as the early game unless the Survivors mess up a late hook rescue, you are running NOED or they have 3Gen'd themselves.

It is just really hard to deal with such problems. It really looks terrible but how many options do they have to fix it properly ? It is not that simple as it may seems. The best one I can suggest is add gen debuff to all survivors for few minutes vs only some killers and only on just some of the maps. If they can do that it would be great. Otherwise any suggestion that affects everyone I fear would be unhealthy. Because while the Huntress may need some time to get someone early on some maps many killers does not. We can't kill gen times vs Billy for example, or on the new map that is just so small. The problem have way too many dimentions. Sometimes early gens don't even mean anything vs killers cause they are really good after they get someone down. I've had many games recently where the game starts your way and I was playing survivor and was like - okay this is going down fast .... and then we all died !
1 -
I stopped attempting to play huntress cause 2-3 gens always pop before my first down cause It's hard to find people when they hide and ur a 110% killer.
1 -
Useless footage. Give us the whole game please.
Bye the way i just slugged all survivors within 45 seconds. Why not adressing this "problem"?
8 -
They did 3 gens on one side of the map and you probably ended up 3/4King, right?
Or did you DC?
10 -
Because if that's true they were horrendous players
4 -
What killer did you use?
Teach us the secret of the 45s 4-man slugs, please.
5 -
I hope they reply.

Why not?

Unless you intend to, why would you just post a clip and not the full game on your YouTube channel? Seems like a suspicious. At minimum that’s a requirement if you are going to say something happened in a specific time. We should also be able to see how you played and what the outcome was.

The only thing that surprises me is that people consider maps like this balanced. If these maps would be smaller and allow killers to have more counterplay in chases, gen times would be fine.
3 -
Hence, the title of the post.

If you want more cases, you can look on the forums, feedback sections and youtube for more. They're there and you've probably already seen them.
You'll notice in the bottom left that I completed a chase twice ending with a hook. On average, players often hook their first survivor around the first gen is finished. This same experience has probably happened to you. The difference here is that it was the worst case scenario with 3 survivors on 3 separate gens while the killer deals with the 4th. More often than not 1 gen gets finished in this time in my matches. The point is that this 3 gen one hook within the first 85 seconds of a match shouldn't be possible with or without perks to fix the problem.
The suffocation pit is an unbalanced map especially with a low speed killer such as the huntress.
There is plenty of information in the clip in addition to they myriad of videos on youtube that show the situation I mentioned before with 1 or 2 gens.
It's a well known fact that on average the first survivor is hooked within seconds of the first gen being finished.
But you can continue to choose to ignore the available information if you wish.
6 -
Doesn't that logic also apply to the killer though?
If the players die that fast, it's the survivors fault.
If the killer fails to identify the probable locations of 3 of the survivors and allows them to easily pop 3 gens that fast, that's the killers fault.
4 -
You still didn't answer the question. What happened before those 3 gens popped?
I think it's important to recognize that if you are going to be sharing 'proof' as to why you think there is a problem with gen speed. Then the video still needs more context. You are telling me I am choosing to ignore something you didn't provide.
5 -
If the devs haven't done anything for over three and a half years, I doubt they ever will.
1 -
So I can clearly answer your question let me ask you one.
Have you played a killer match where you find and hook your first survivor around the same time the first gen is popped?
The beginning of my match will make more sense if you've had that experience.
1 -
Not when the latter can get done before a killer is physically capable of crossing the map..your blatantly comparing character limitations to player decision making and I think you know that as well..anything else?

How did you find the group of survivors from your spawn and M2 them all (separately, apparently, so Leatherface is out) within 45s?
Why did they all stay near you after the first IF?

I mean, are you serious, its hillbilly. This not not a miracle and its not the first time someone is winning games with that dude in less then a minute...
And no, not killermain. 50/50 main, but good enough apperently.
1 -
You chainsawed 4 people in 45s (including travel time) at the killer shack/vacation station?
Godly.
0 -
They started to work on those gens while you were away you didnt check on them at all. Here s how you got outplayed. Instead of having one sided logic improve your gameplay and take a loss with dignity.
2 -
Your problems are:
1. You spent too much time in a chase
2.You didnt check on those gens
Either way its a good thing that those gens got fixed because now you have all other gens in other area with a guy hooked in that same area.
1 -
I mean, I've personally never had an issue patrolling gens and have never had any instances where I wasn't able to check the furthest gens within 80 seconds.
So as I see it, it's a player limitation, not a character limitation.

Spirit with haunted can do it!
0 -
Then you only play green ranks..because that very much is a reality..
0 -
Including travel time, totem cleansing, and weapon wipes?
0 -
We can easily check if he plays killer at all you just need his profile. Its possible by the way to pull it off. I had the same thing plenty of times. Why would anyone doubt whether certain person plays killer or not its not like killer is hard to play.
0 -
Why not show the whole game? If 3 gens pop at once, usually its the killer over-committing to 1 person for too long
4 -
If everyone is bunched up and that haunted gets popped at the right time. I wouldn't say it happens a lot but can be done. Cant plan it, just luck
0 -
Right. For someone who posts full games on YouTube, to now just post an 8 second clip, definitely comes off like they might be hiding something. Let’s see it, it’s obviously recorded.
2 -
The answer is yes, and you know why? Because 3 people were on it, and the survivor I was chasing might have been at a very strong loop.
Now please tell us about what exactly happened in the beginning of that match...
2 -
The main reason this problem arises is because they haven't fixed the court issue with how fast games are done.
The survivors aren't at fault in the situation they're doing their objectives like they're meant to do.
The problem is everything it's done so quickly that it infuriating.
We first had a Band-Aid fix in the form of Ruin however when the people realised that the Band-Aid fix became so prevalent instead of fixing the problem they decided to get rid of the band aid without addressing the core issues.
They also try to use healing as a secondary objective but kept adding different heal purks which made damaging survivors pointless. To the point where we are at a stage where unless you're going up against Oni it's more viable to just stay injured and gen rush rather than waste time healing.
1 -
Now imagine a similar situation on suffocation pit where you spawn at the house with one other survivor as one of your weaker killers. Put the other 3 survivors on the opposite side of the map each on a different generator and you have what happened at the beginning of the match.
1 -
Actually the devs literally said just let the survivors finish the gens during a recent stream.
2 -
From looking at the clip Id say the OP spawned in the mine shaft side of the map and got into a chase within 20-30 seconds. That chase itself likely took 40-50 seconds to land 2 hits, down, and hook. Then odds are the remaining time (another 10-20 seconds) was spent checking the nearby gens mine shaft side or simply walking as a 110% Killer. Finally ending with the clip itself.
You can see a lot of details in that clip. One Survivor is already hooked and their icon stopped glowing from being put on a hook. That means the Killer won at least 2 chases and landed the hook several seconds before the clip itself. And if this is at 85 seconds in that match it means the Killer got his first hook in about a minute of game start. Pop Goes the Weasel nearly confirms this in fact. It lasts for 60 seconds and at the start of the clip you can see it is roughly 7-9 seconds into its duration putting the first hook at around 1 minute 15 seconds mark. Normally that is a rather good start as Killer because chases at the start of a game always last the longest due to of abundance of pallets/resources and/or stealth options Survivors can use.
Im likely wrong in a few details but it should be rather close.
3 -
I'm impressed. You are no longer Chewy102 you shall henceforth be known as Sherlock inferer extraordinaire!
I can't remember the details very well since I was in a blind rage afterwards, but this sounds about right lol.

lmao that ending though I can see why you were hesitant to post, I wouldn't want to be seen missing all those hatchets on David & Nea.
The first thing you did in the match was throw a hatchet at a tree too, were you checking your crosshair or something? lol.
