Disconnection Matchmaking Bans

I've recently been in a lot of toxic games, mismatched matchmaking, teammates not doing what they should, killer being absolutely atrocious, etc etc. I understand the need for matchmaking bans if a person disconnects too many times, I literally just started on PC and disconnect 1 time and I get banned from matchmaking??? Makes no sense. I love the game but I can't stand games like the one I had recently, It really makes me upset that I can't even disconnect from a bad game when I feel no need to play it. Like I said, I get that matchmaking bans make the game more playable as a whole, but not after a single disconnect. Please devs I urge you to fix this issue.

    A 5 minute ban makes sense. So does a 15 minute ban. Even a 30 minute ban. But beyond that, the escalation is outrageous. It goes to an hour, then 6 hours. Then I think 24 hours? It's outrageous. It should NEVER escalate over 30 minutes. Especially since most people who want to DC just suicide instead, bypassing the system entirely. Leaving everyone else to suffer.
