Hide and seek
I think scratch marks should only be seen when the killer is nearby the survivor or when they're chasing them. Ive played killer and it's easy to run across the map and see scratch marks of people. It makes it extremely easy to find the prey.

I agree 100%. I play both sides and personally it's easy to find survivors simply because the scratch marks last for a good minute. Lol

That's the point. That's the risk of running around everywhere. That's why also there are perks to either make you move faster while not running or reduce the time scratch marks stay active. (although this one should get a little buff)

Idk personally I think if the killer isn't around and they're supposed to be stealth mode, it's ok if they're far and looking for a gen
But if the killer isnt near by then why not? Its just a cheap excuse so the killer knows exactly where they're at. Even if they're not by them.

And again, risk. If they didn't want to get found they shouldn't be running everywhere.

This is a stupid idea tbh

Nope. Scratchmarks exist so you have to make a choice: move fast and risk being found or move slow but more safely. That would completely remove a big part of the survivor gameplay.
It's actually 10 seconds, of which the last 3 the scratchmarks are barely visible.

No logic , what is the reason for your survivor to not make any scratchmark when the killer is not nearby ? Magic?
