self care nerf suggestion

Since self heal is mechanic that largely changes game in not such a good way, here are couple of nerf suggestions:

only SC in special places.
Like reloading hatchets near requires a locker, maybe a special place (locker/flame barrel/hook) is required to proceed with self care would be a nice nerf to it.
The main problem this fixes: SC during chase, which is simply annoying and makes no sense. Especially on Freddy.

SC action points.
for actually playing the game you get point a.k.a. charges that you can use on self care. For example completing gen would award you 12 charges (which is number for 1 full health state) and stunning killer award you 4 charges . dull totem 2 charges and hex totem 8 charges .
note: do not waste points during bleedout timer

No healing in TR
SC does not work in killer TR. It might be minor thing, but in the end, who does it anyway, right?

the next one is terrible, but still...
No healing when exhausted
don't hit me, it's just an idea. Put down the rock nice and s....

damn..

anyway, here's a bunch. Hope you find it interesting ^^

simply add a charge to self-heal for heal once or twice per game only (like care kits).

The only time self care really irks me is mid chase, especially when they are on the other side of the pallet as I'm breaking it.
I had thought about the not while in terror radius, but that would make some maps ridiculous for survivors (as if the Game does not destroy them enough). It would also dampen the use of A Nurse's Calling. It is great when a ballsy survivor is trying to heal when you are nearby and you get them.
I would say out of all the ideas so far the "special places" idea is my favorite, I would say the places should be numerous so the killer cannot necessarily just find someone because they are specifically at one of those locations.

I want to add, that healing is still possible, simply not with a SC perk. NC is not necessarily will be "nerfed" because of this, but even if - I would not consider the change bad

I've heard the following idea somewhere, can't remember where.
Make the healing action an "All or nothing" duty, just like totem cleansing ; meaning that if you can't get it to the end, the progress shall be lost and you would have to start the action from scratch. That way, self healing would be much more difficult, because the action itself would require a larger amount of time undisturbed. Also it might encourage people to find some kind of safe place, before starting the healing. With such a change Medkits might need a speed boost though.

Didn't the Dev's already say they were doing that?

I swear I heard on a video it was confirmed the devs were going to do it.
I can't remember where, but, I somewhere I heard it.
Also I don't use self care so the nerf wouldn't hurt.

Only certain maps have fire barrels. Macmillan Estate, Autohaven Wreckers, Coldwind Farm, and Crotus Prenn Asylum are the only realms where fire barrels can spawn. Healing near a locker or hook would work though. Probably better for it to be near a hook though, since some maps have very few lockers.

I'd like to see it changed to either you can only heal next to lockers, or you can only heal once per game. It's massively overpowered in its current form.

@BLUE_APE @Utna Yes the devs said that about a month ago, but after the mid chapter patch went out they decided against, saying instead they are not planning to make changes to Self Care and rather that they have their eye on it.

I actually wanted the nerf though, I mean I used self care before and its great, but I don't run it because its to op for me.And it would make sense the all or nothing idea, I mean they nerf on sprint burst actually became a buff for me (and became accurate). But if the devs are doing that alright.

it is massively OP, but nerfing it into the ground is also terrible.
Right now, if you're last survivor, or other survivors refuse to heal you, you can't do anything. Injured is massive disadvantage for stealth and running away. No medkit = ur dead, without chance to fight -_- so I personally do not think it's good idea to nerf it into the ground. It's op, so it has to brough down, but not significantly.

Well if they're looking for a Nerf for SC (As much as I'd rather see it not)  Then my suggestion would be to make it a slow regression when not actively healing yourself.  Maybe at the speed of regression like a kicked generator. Maybe Buff Coulrophobia and increase the regression greatly while in that's effective radius.

So if we can’t heal in terror radius what happens to nurses calling ._.
    (patch notes)
nurses calling can read up to 56 meters due to self care change

You can't selfheal with SC. You can heal your teammates though

    SC still affects item efficiency
