I've been going through the forums and finding a lot of different opinions on the topic on how playing against the deathslinger is very enjoyable for some and how some absolutely hate playing against the deathslinger. So, I wanted to see how people feel about playing against the deathslinger. Personally, I enjoy playing as and against The Deathslinger.

It's not the Deathslinger specifically, though. Opponents who can grab me and drag me towards them have always made me irrationally angry in games (Blitzcrank/Thresh in League is another example).

He spices up looping, which is always fun. He's also always a threat on the Coldwind maps, which is one of -- if not the -- greatest accomplishment that any killer can have.

It is like versing old Legion 1.0 but even worse. Genrush vs disgusting chase mechanics.

Nobody really asked for an overwatch cowboy in dead by daylight, so why do with get this killer?

I can't say I hate him. I do feel like the being able to shoot you through rocks is OP. I also think that this killer was built for tunneling and that kind of gameplay should be avoided. I have had more than one match where he just camps the hook and shoots anyone who tries to offhook, pretty toxic. I have also had fine matches where the killer just played the objectives and didn't use the harpoon effect to just camp and tunnel the whole group down. Those were fine. So I have a hard time saying I dislike this killer, really I dislike toxic gameplay.

I Enjoy Playing Against The Deathslinger

Deathslinger actually sp00ks me in games a lot more than I thought he would, nobody was expecting him to have that much of a reduced TR so combined with TR reducing perks amp that aspect up. He's practically a stealth killer who has ranged capabilities, so hearing a loud shot and a harpoon whizzing just past me just inches away before I even hear a TR is absolutely crazy and I love it.

Kinda difficult to escape in chase especially if you're up against a good one with god aim and reflexes, and if you aren't running a long distance chase, but at the same time he's not hard to overcome if you've got people working on gens which I think most people know to do which is a tad unfortunate, maybe he'll see some kind of buff.

I can respect any killer that makes me jump or scares me during a match. At the end of the day no matter what anybody says DBD is a horror game, and we need more ######### like this or stuff that's even more horrifying to make people uneasy, tense, and horrified.

Ah yes, the boosted Huntress. He can hit mme through tiny cracs in wood? Greeeat. He can move towards me while also realing me in and I can't longer myself into corner to break the chain? Brilliant. After chain he has badic attack so I get affected by NOED and likes of it? Perfectly balanced.

I don't like him. Anyone who can quick scope is pretty OP. Its hard to tell where he is coming from. He often shoots through objectives to snag you. Easy for him to proxy camp and shoot off-hookers. It's not really all that fun unless you get a less skilled player and then it just feels bad.
