Sadly 1. Hate being in the Red Ranks as both survivor and killer. Everyone is toxic. Even if you weren't red rank, you're bound to go up against a red rank.

Im rank 1, but I've been getting rank 1 for a long time, before this so called ranking system, now everyone is red rank (2020). Something needs to be fixed here.

I would much rather take the shards than the BP. BP (even though everyone needs a lot of it) is ridiculously easy to earn quickly, especially with the various 2x BP events that take place sporadically throughout the year.

Shards take so much longer and there is no quicker way to earn them, Iridescent Shard Bonus offerings out there, no perks to help you with getting shards more quickly. I have every character, but hey what can I say cosmetics are cool. I'm sure the newer players out there would really like to see incentive to play well and get high rank so that they can earn the original characters that much more quickly

But let's be real, what we really need are DEVOTION rewards. Rank rewards you might be iffy about because of the "is it easy, is it not easy to reach red rank, yadda yadda yadda" but it takes some serious time to gain Devotion and it seriously seems like something that should come with a reward. Rank has a practical purpose, you're supposed to be queued with people of a similar rank / skill level, Devotion level has absolutely NO PRACTICAL PURPOSE outside of showing how dedicated you are as a player, nothing is done with devotion level at all.

You should get something out of that! Cosmetics, or maybe you constantly earn bloodpoints faster at 1.1x the rate of a normal player if you've got devotion 1 1.2x for devotion 2 etc. so on and so forth. Or iridescent shards, or hell even auric cells, the most dedicated players in DBD SHOULD be getting rewarded somehow, otherwise don't have a devotion system in the first place?? It practically taunts me at this point.

For some reason I find purple ranks and green ranks fun cause it’s easy for both sides and it’s not a sweat fest and dealing with swf and try hard solos, red ranks.... it’s just all that.

Exactly purple rank is more relaxed and fun

I hit rank4 I'll play sloppy and dumb just to fall back in to the purple ranks
