The second iteration of 2v8 is now LIVE - find out more information here: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/kb/articles/480-2v8-developer-update

Why do you let whiny forum posters heavily influence your balance?

The game is in such a state right now. Its almost impossible to win games.

As for Hillbilly there’s literally nothing balanced about this chump. You gain distance in a chase? He sprints and catches right back up. He can pressure multiple hooks and gens at once with no penalty and no cooldown. Unlimited instadowns on demand. He requires such little skill for such massive pressure.

And why? Because of everybody whining on the forum? You let them influence the balance of the game too much. These people will never be happy until killers can 4k every game with no effort required. Its not a competitive videogame they want, it’s a casual hooking sim. Might as wel have survivors be A.I

Hillbilly is a bit op I admit, but you can outplay him and I'm sure you don't or not often play as a killer on high rank. On high rank it is a hard struggle finding and hitting someone and if you can't do it you have to suffer through that useless buttdancing teabagging thing that all survivers do. Nobody is a good winner and nobody is a good looser. Get over it and move along. There a too many things anybody hates. On both sides.

... If they listened to EVERY forum feedback then the game would be a mess.

They are doing their own things and they listen from time to time but they implement/change things the way they want. Also why is it impossible to win games? Sounds like you had a bad day with maybe bad teammates, in which case it may be the best to play the other role or just stop playing the game for the rest of the day. Fun fact: There are many people that would love to have a training mode with bots.

Coming from someone who mains Hillbilly at rank 1, once you learn how to play as him, you'll rarely lose against him.

The only thing negative I can say about billy is his chainsaw should run out at some point. That don't mean to the point it's inconvenient but definitely a ceiling.

Hillbilly does have a lot of things in one ability. Has good map pressure, good chase potential. But the thing is, once you know how to loop him, on 95% of loops it is just as easy to loop him as you would a wraith or ghostface. He primary capitalises of you making mistakes or being in the open, the same with leatherface. If you don't make big mistakes, he can't take advantage over you.

Everyone on the forums complained Deathslinger was too weak when he was released, and were scandalised that the devs didn't buff him when he went live. Now that people have gotten used to him, the general consensus seems to be that he's pretty alright. When Ruin got changed, the forum went crazy, but now everyone has adapted to the change and it turns out the game isn't dead after all.

The devs don't make balancing decisions against their own better judgement because people whined on the forums. They consider what the players are saying, but ultimately (and increasingly) they make their own decisions on what gets changed and what doesn't.

What they would do well with though is listening to the posts of people complaining playing Killer is 0 fun. Getting to Red Ranks is not rewarding enough. The overall community and how players treat each other is toxic, and the reporting/punishment system needs to be harsher. The gap between SWF and Solo is too tremendous and needs to be fixed. Lastly the threads saying the game isn't scary or have a horror atmosphere anymore because survivors just have too much information to be scared, also have too many tools keeping them safe so there is no feeling of danger.

I was a killer main, taking my first break right now, signed up for the forums during that time, and all I gotta say is that I don't even think i'll come back to the game - because playing anything else is better than playing Killer on dead by daylight. Now i'm just watching the forums for updates to see where the game is headed if I am going to come back or not.

I hope its bait. You're normmally survivor sided, but better than this.

Ironically, your thread here is exactly what you're complaining about.

You are crazy. They have fixed this game for killers to 4K 98 percent of time. Because they keep crying when survivors escape

Don't know about you but my last games have mostly been 3 or 4 man escapes (I play duo-SWF), even a spirit with a red mori only got a 2k, so I can't confirm your experience.

It's pretty much what @SunaIIanu said, your opinion on certain aspects of the game may differ depending on your rank and the role you play, even the platform you play on could be a factor. The player base of the game has a huge variety of different opinions on this game, the devs can't follow each one, so they have to pick which way they want to go. They buffed and nerfed both sides in different ways. You may say they favour one side and whatever side you pick is fine, but if you say they only nerf/buff one side, then you actually ignore or over-/underestimate a lot of points.
