Bloodrush bonus points
I do not know if this came up before. If it did, I did not look for it. My issue is that if we are suppose to get 1.5 additional blood points for the bloodrush event; then, why am I receiving half the amount? If I get 100 points in session; then, the math of 100 times 1.5 (150%) should be 150 bonus points. Not 50 points which is multiplied from .5 or 50%. I am only voicing this because when the devs allowed 2x (200%) the points; then, my bonus points from 100 would be 200.

Its 150% of your base BP gained.
150% of 100 BP is 150 BP. So you get 150 BP, not 100 + 150 (what would be 250% actually).
Got it?

I know it is the points I get normally, no perks and no offerings. However, I still see half additional points from the regular points I get from the round. I play the round.... score regular points..... score half bloodrush points from regular points...... Devs????

It's 1.5x bloodpoints, so you just multiply the points from the match by 1.5 and that is how many points you will actually get.

Need a DEV assistance in this....
I know what it should be but what I get do not seem right....

I know.... but I end up with half base points....

Are you saying if you ended up with 10k in a round you are actually getting 5k (0.5) instead of 15k (1.5)?
2 -
You get your BPs multiplied with 1.5.
So if you end up with 10.000 BPs, those are multiplied with 1.5, meaning you get 15.000 BPs in total, 5.000 BPs are Bonus.
You dont get 1.5x-Bonus, you "only" get 50% of your BPs as Bonus.
If there was a Bloodhunt with 200% BPs, you would "only" get double the BP you usually get. You dont get tripple. A Dev is not needed for this, you are simply calculating it wrong.

Your doing the math wrong. Say you get 100 bloodpoints that becomes 150. Normally you get 1x blood points this even makes that 1.5x so its only increasing it by 50%

Hes doing the math wrong. He thinks 100 bloodpoints should become 250 cause 1.5 he not accounting for the fact the normaly blood points are 1x

If i get 10k base points then add the additional 1.5 of 10k (15k points)
Then 10k plus 15k equals 25k.
However, I see 10k plus 5k (1/2 10k) when I am done.
I am trying not to be combative, just get an understanding if this is what the Devs intended.
Because when Devs did 2x points, we got 10k plus additional 20k for a total of 30k we are finish addiing all points. Unless I am mistaken....

The devs will tell you the same thing everyone else is telling you. If you're receiving 15K bloodpoints from a game where you earned 10K, that is working as intended and you're just mistaken in your calculations.

"If i get 10k base points then add the additional 1.5 of 10k (15k points)"
It is NOT additional 1.5. You get 150% of your regular BPs. You dont get additional 150%.
"However, I see 10k plus 5k (1/2 10k) when I am done. I am trying not to be combative, just get an understanding if this is what the Devs intended."
This is 100% correct, and 100% intended.
"Because when Devs did 2x points, we got 10k plus additional 20k for a total of 30k we are finish addiing all points. Unless I am mistaken...."
You are mistaken on this one. You get double your points, so 200% of your Base Points. With 10k Points this would be 20k Points. Maybe you mistake it with BBQ or a BP Offering, which can give another 100%.
1 -
Yeah, you are mistaken.
In a 2x Blood Hunt, you get your base BP x2, not your base BP plus 2x your base BP.
1 -
That math would be 2.5x bloodpoints if it went from 10k to 25k.
As others have pointed out.
10k bloodpoints x 1.5 is 15k. It's basically instead of the base of 1x your bloodpoints are 1.5x.
It's not an additional 1.5x on top of the 1x.
Much like the double bloodpoints is 2x so 10k turns into 20k.

How is this so confusing? Bloodrush is 1.5 times whatever bloodpoints you would have earned. This is a multiple from the base amount earned. Let's take the hypothetical game where you are playing killer, use BBQ perk and burn survivor pudding offering. You earn 30,000 base bloodpoints in the game.
30,000 base +
30,000 BBQ 4 tokens +
30,000 Survivor Pudding +
15,000 Bloodrush bonus =
105,000 Bloodpoints.
Same game without an offering or BBQ bonus would result in 45,000 bloodpoints earned. 30,000 x 1.5 Bloodrush = 45,000 bloodpoints.

I will just drop it.
Dont worth the effort on explaining again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, right?
Please, vote up whos with me. LOL

You're doing your math wrong... A standard match is 100% blood points; the event is only a 50% increase off, not an additional 150% ontop of the games base 100%.
So say you received 10,000 points in a normal game without any event; that would be 100% blood points.
During the event, if you received 10,000 blood points you would receive .5x more (or 50% more blood points ontop of the games base 100%). This means you would receive 5,000 more blood points, not 15,000.

You get a 50% bonus not 150% bonus wow is this your first event ever?

Math is not wrong. Never played an actual event other than our basic Archives since I started a few months ago. My understanding of the 1.5 for total run to run plus 1.5 was the issue. For a simple minded, I think 50% bonus as a statement for those who never played before. However, thank you all for clearing this up for me. Now, I do not think grinding 1/2 points is worth it when it seemingly takes forever to get a lobby regardless if I am killer or survivor. I do not need any more responses please, thank you.

1 x 1000 = 1000
1.5 x 1000 = 1500
2 x 1000 = 2000
this is the math the devs use
what you are describing is (1 x 1000) + (1.5 x 1000) = 2500

some people cant math :p

Tks @Almo, as you are a dev, now he may believe us!!! :D

Lol, sorry that 50% bonus isn't good enough. Historically speaking double bloodpoints bonuses tend to run for shorter periods of time like over a weekend and bloodrush events last longer like a week or so. To my knowledge this is the longest bloodrush event they have ever held.

So now it is 10k -> 15k?

Aaaa my math skills are still working 🤣

Math is really hard

Thank you. I thought the 1st score I see in results is base BP. Then, that number is multiplied by 1.5 for the additional bonus. People thought my math was wrong: however, it never was. I did not know the base BP is everything I do in the game before the completion of my participation. It was a matter of my thinking on where the 1.5x base BP is supposed to be calculated. I clearly explain my thinking; however, people thought my math wrong.
