Sorry not sorry survivors im gonna camp after gens get done

Just had a game where i went out of my way to not camp ill static blast if i dont hit anybody ill leave but i had survivors that refused to leave so fine ill willingly walk into the trap of chasing the first survivor that displays themselves while their friend hides so he can unhook all gens get done i find and hook a guy before gates are open could have slugged but no i decided to get into another chase just to be nice i break off chase early because it was a good looper then go back to hook nobody show up yet im shocked then here comes 2 people hook bombing one so i get a hit and they still haven't go their friend off the hook so by the time i get another hit hes finally free of the hook so i hook his friend they can escape for all i care but they wont leave so i shock and blast the area preventing an unhook until the leave so i get a message saying im a camper where the hell was i supposed to go gens are done and to top it off they were rank 5 and 8s purples while im a 18

I loathe camping from both sides of the coin. But even as someone who plays more survivor, I accept that if i'm on hook when the gens are done, a killers gotta do what a killers gotta do. Maybe you can pull off a save, perhaps you want to be altruistic and not leave a man behind. None of those things are bad, but nobody should expect a killer to not secure at least one kill in a match, or use the tactic of counting on your altruism. Whether you go for that save or you don't, there is nothing that says the killer has to step aside and simply let you when you had a clear escape.

Camping and tunneling is totally legit after the last gen is done. What else should you do?

I had many bad rounds which turned from a 1k into a 3k or 4k just because the rest of the team decided to go for a save instead of leaving.

Bonuspoints btw if they complain about camping if you hook someone near an opened exit gate.

I think that after all gens are done, camping is ok. What are killers going to do, just leave the hook and risk the person being saved and getting no kills sometimes? Especially if the don't have barbecue and chilly and have no exact idea where anyone else is.

Hey, you should use dots and commas. It's so hard to read your post

Camping is fine after all the gens are done, the hooked survivor is the only objective you have left to defend.

Yeah at that point there's basically 3 choices a lot of the time.

    • Try to kill whoever is one the hook to secure a kill.
    • Try to get as many hook trades as possible to secure the most points.
    • Try to get as many as possible, even though you might risk them all escaping by doing so.

Personally I tend to just try to extend the match for as long as possible for more points and well, gameplay. I know that's different from person to person but I'd much rather trade hooks until they give up or manage to get out than park myself in front of a hook with a revved chainsaw. I'd rather have more points than a single kill, but I'll probably still stick close to the hook so I can guarantee trades unless I'm very confident in my ability to get someone else.

Complaining about camping once the last gen is done is silly. At least if the Killer does it early, you could certainly argue that the Killer is not allowing a Survivor to play the game and ruining the experience for them. Complaining for camping at the end of the game just means you're salty that you (or the person being camped if not you) aren't escaping.

If all gens are done, I don't mind camping too much. But before that, and it's a bit annoying. I'm just doing gens when people camp. As many as possible, and nothing else.

Only the most delusional Survivors expect a killer to not camp once endgame hits. Then again, considering how it appears no survivor can accept anything less than a 4 escape, and the huge number of 3 escapes I see turned into a 3-4k when the door is open, I guess I wouldn't be surprised after all.
