Has anyone else noticed random frame drops/lag spikes on certain maps at times?
I know this isn't the bug forum! I'm not reporting a bug, either, I'm just asking a bit of a question.
I've noticed once in a great while, depending on which map I get, I tend to inherit more lag spikes and frame drops than I do with another map.
I'm not quite sure if this is rendering related, or if this is actually how the game is depending on what's going on in the environment, but I'm just curious to see if it's happening to others in-case if I do need to make a bug report thread. ^^

Doesn't happen to me, but I have a fairly powerful computer. I've heard this is an issue particularly on console, especially on maps like Red Forest with a lot of particle effects that need rendering. I would definitely recommend making a bug report though, because it makes it easier for the devs to find and fix the issue - unless someone else has already reported the same problem, in which case you should just upvote their thread and maybe add a comment sharing your own experience.

These issues are more prominent on Console than they're on PC. I don't know which platform you play on, but if it's on Console than this is fairly common for older model PS4's, Xboxs, and even newer model ones as well. It's not ALWAYS an issue, but we do get these types of questions sometimes, and it seems to mostly come from Console players if my memory is correct.
If you're on PC and you're experiencing these issues, than it could possible be from how your PC is built and what it can handle, if you're on Console than this issue is a bit more common than you'd think it is. You can report it to the Bug Report sub-forum if you'd like, but it's not so much a bug when you look into it, it's just how much the Console can handle and what maps and features are optimized for that platform.
I personally don't experience any lag or frame-drops in-game. I used to when my internet was REALLY bad, but when it was fixed I barely experienced any lag in-game, if any at all.

Fair enough! Thank you both.
Oddly enough, this is on PC. I was just wondering about the issue from other user's perspectives since I noticed that at times I will experience frame drops, but it'll smooth itself out afterwards. My computer can handle DBD quite well as well, which is even more strange.
But I'll definitely look into it! Cheers to you two. <3
