So, I tried out the new resident evil game
And my goodness, it is a whole lot of fun. And I could be saying this to soon, but feels good. For both sides, 1 amazing play can bring back a whole game.
The only thing is that, as the tester, it feels just a bit to random. You could get some amazing. Cards, or get absolutely nothing. It is all luck of the draw.
But yeah, 1 play can make a difference on either side. It, so far, feels decently balanced.
I'll try to give more info on it later if my opinion changes.

Why is this being posted in general discussion on dbd tho?

For once and I can't believe I'm saying this, I'm agreeing with Murdle. Why is this being posted here?

I mean, isn't RE:R gonna be another DBD-killer similar to Friday the 13th, Hide or Die, Last Year etc.? Seeing how effective they all were, we gotta keep tabs on competition.

How long did it take to download I can't play till later today?

It was only 12 gigabytes.

Wait that doesn't make sense I'm reading
Resident Evil 3 will require around 23GB, while Resident Evil Resistance will need another 20GB, meaning close to 50GB

It was originally posted in general discussion, it was moved to off-topic after we both commented.

I love it! It's amazing! After playing so much of it, it makes me hate when my friends who don't have it ask me to play DBD. It really puts into perspective how imbalanced and unoptimised DBD is.
Luckily one of my friends is getting RE: R soon, and a few others already have Predator: Hunting Grounds pre-ordered. I can happily go from DBD being a daily thing to a monthly thing... Which I really need at the moment.

It's fun, but from what I've seen so far, I have to disagree with the people saying it's balanced. There's still a lot to discover though. But for the early decks/abilities, the Mastermind role is ridiculously weak. Daniel's beta loadout probably isn't the strongest Mastermind set available, but it definitely wasn't one of the bad ones. Meanwhile, the Survivors by default have really annoying abilities and there's only a minimal learning curve before a team can just steamroll. The time gain especially is way too forgiving. That's my takeaway from the beta and watching a bit of the gameplay after the first day. Remains to be seen what the higher level content is like. But first impressions are pretty important, and if the game is so slanted in the beginning then players aren't going to be interested in grinding to get to better balance at all.
Personally I'd love to try it some more, if only it wasn't attached to a rather short game with a rather large price tag.
Also, I do like that for once it's the killer role that blinds the survivors.

This game is addicting as **** imo. Both sides are really fun to play
Hopefully capcom supports it for a while. Can't wait for the Jill update
