What are your "conditions" for a GG???

For killers is it kills or hooks?

For survivors is it escape or number of gens / heals/ unhooks/ saves

Only speaking on an individual level

Me playing killer... it's hooks (at least bbq stacks)

Me playing survivor... its at least 1 Gen (from start to finish) and at least 1-2 unhooks

Kills as a killer, and more importantly fun.

As survivor, run the killer while also completing objectives aswell as fun.

when I had fun, winning a harsh game, or even losing a close game cause the team was actually good and didn't just keep running to the infinity/super strong setup.

GG is used when I win. Otherwise there's no reason to type anything.

When the game actually felt like either side had a chance. Exactly what a good game is. Otherwise there's no reason to type it.

If a bug occurs that we can all laugh at. Other than that, none. Not for a game like this.

I don't mean typing GG at the end game screen I mean in general... I don't care if you type GG at the end... I want to know what makes a good game for you

I'll say GG when the survivors don't try to attack me for no reason in the chat xD

i consider a game a "good game", as long as nothing unfair / really bad happens.

Cheats, Hacks, Genrush, Insta Moris, DCs, extreme toxicity and such do not get a "gg" from me. anyone else does, doesnt matter how the game itself went.

well, of course there also wont be a "gg" from me, then i died early on as Survivor and already quit the match to play a different one.

    Having fun.

Sometimes the killer can camp and tunnel, but if I had fun I say gg.

Sometimes the killer didn't camp or tunnel but he is too strong, and I can't say gg, it was boring as hell. Save, pursuit, hook, save, pursuit, hook, and just one Gen done.

I don't care both side are the same rank, or same level of skill, just having fun.

Like to interact with the killer, like giving him some toolboxes 🤗

If it is all about fun then why not chat with the other side

Especially with Archives being a thing...

I am willing to help the other side with challenges

When I play killer: I don't type gg if the survivors are beaten within 2-3 minutes. I mean that can happen when you play Oni. I think that gg would disrespect my opponents.

When I play Survivor: When the gens are gone in no time. No gg required. Same reason.

Good point... I want to know if players have a "goal" or "condition" that would be a good game...

Also again I don't mean in game GG I mean as a player

Like I enjoy games that challenge me but I also like games that have a fun or entertaining moment

As long as I had a decent time, I slap down a GG. That basically just means that I wasn't against really toxic players or a bully squad.

    Ah, I see.

What makes a good round for me is me managing something I'm happy with/proud of in the match.

Eg. I ran Huntress recently for a daily and because I'm garbage with her I get a 1 kill, 3 escape game. However, I managed a cheeky axe toss across the map all the way through the Exit Gates to hit one of the Survivors waiting in there at the end, so that single play pretty much made the match for me. Same goes if I get a mindgame that was fun, I successfully jumpscare someone, if I think I managed well under pressure, or I just do better than I thought I was going to against high ranked Survivors with a Killer I'm no good at.

Good for you... I had a game as Pig in which my snoot was boobed... and had a Congo line going... (I was using Rancor so my obsession fallowed me the whole game) and when the gens were done and a gate was at like 95ish% I chased my obsession only for him to get sandbagged by his team... he died inside the gate... it was hilarious

Was the game fun, did my opponents/teammates play well, were my opponent(s) being asses, was the ranking system not hot garbage.

If even 2 of these are true, I'll usually GG.

"Snowballing" is means a small advantage spiralling into a larger one, like rolling a snowball.

Eg. A Killer getting a hook, then after the rescue downing both the unhooked and the rescuer to hook them both.

I like games where at least both sides get some progress (Killer gets a kill or two, Survivors get 2-3 gens minimum). This is generally why I would say GG, but personally I'm not satisfied unless I pip.

I had a great time as killer.

    I didn't tunnel, didn't camp, didn't use NOED.

I did everything perfectly as a killer would but....

    Not 1 GG.

I at least thanked them for the BPS.

This was in Hawkins, that God-Awful map.

    If it's a match i say gg.

No conditions always gg to be polite because this community has a toxicity issue. Telling my team/opponent i had a bad time would just add more negativity

If I had fun that match. I don't care if I "lose". Get a lot of points, or depip. I care if while playing the game I wasn't just running in circles, and walking through pallets after pallets after pallets, and windows. Like what's the point of calling this game a Horror game if no one is scared, and we are all just playing ring around the rosie?

I will send a “GG” if I feel as though the game could’ve gone either way and if the opposing side played well.

Just the other day I was chased for a majority of the match, farmed off the hook, slugged, and died. I was a bit upset at how the match went and didn’t really like the way the killer played but I still sent a “GG” and the killer turned out to be really cool and complemented me on the way I played and how long I kept up a chase.

Most games I’m not upset enough to say anything other than “GG”.

  • HealsBadMan

    You did that on Hawkins?

You must be an insanely good nurse way below your rank or all the Survivors are boosted af. Or both. Nice going!

I GG if people didn't play like turds (constantly humping infinites, tbagging, being cocky at the exit gate, slapping survivors on the hook, etc etc.) Now if you asked how often do I get a gg, only when I lose most of the time.

  • BigBrainMegMain
    BigBrainMegMain Member Posts: 3,826

Thank you, I purposely stay at Rank 16, I don't kill anyone about 80% of the time but I had a daily as Nurse and I got carried away.

With me, it hangs on being a fair game.

If i am highly outskilled from the start because of bad matchmaking, the game is never good. Its not fun just to run behind a looping survivor and never catch him because they simply outskill you. If i finally got them, i can start camping because only one or 2 gens are left anyway.

On an equal game, however, i dont even care about the outcome. you have some chases, you win some, you hook people and go for the rest, you break some gens, they finish some, and its a back and forth where you cant tell who will really make it. Thats a gg for me.

It has to be a competitive match on some level. It doesn't necessarily have to be competitive on a 4v1 level, but at least the interactions have to be competitive. If it's lopsided, it just sound like sarcasm to slap a GG, even if it's nobody's fault really.

  • ceeroover

No point in writing GG in an asymmetric game. Especially if there is no common sense of what is considered fair play.

  • Ryuhi
    Ryuhi Member Posts: 3,883

the game to actually be a good game. I don't get to say it very often because either my side or the other side seems to get screwed over 99% of the time.

  • CLAUDETTEINABUSH
    CLAUDETTEINABUSH Member Posts: 2,210

    My conditions are:

Just stick around till you can write gg.

I'll always write gg, if I'm not bored and die first as a survivor and have to wait 10 mins for the game to end xd

  • oxygen
    oxygen Member Posts: 3,334

If I'm still there when the game ends.

Sorry, but if someone thinks me saying GG like I've always done in every game I've played is trolling, ironic or "he actually means git gud!" that's their problem and not mine. They are free to just don't write gg themselves, but if they're typing out some "actually... it was bg" response I've probably already left so that's their time wasted and not mine.

As @Lexilogo explained, it's when the game starts accelerating in an exponential way to its end. You'll recognize a snowballing game when you see gens getting rushed one after another, or when you see someone getting hooked, and saved instantly, only for the rescuer getting downed, hooked and rescued, rinse and repeat hook after hook in just a few seconds. Another high risk snowballing case is the basement hooks.

As a killer i hate when people do multiple hook trades, even if it's technically them handling a win to me. Same when playing survivor and 3 gens get done instantly. I mean if i finish a game in 3 minutes or less, it feels like it was a missed opportunity for a good match.

Of course it's all subjective. I'm the one who doesn't find speedrunning appealing, and i usually play other games at the slowest pace possible (Civilization Marathon speed, for example 😁 )
