not hooked but on hook

one of my friends got hooked, but in the survivor status it said he was only downed, and apparently he was spectating the killer as if he was on his shoulder, none of the survivors would get a prompt to save him and he had crows on him like he wasn't moving, the killer hit him once and he fell off the hook but then he was hovering like he had struggled out of the killers grasp, so the killer killed everyone else and then closed the hatch but after the endgame timer ran out it said that the glitched survivor escaped
