You're pretty much the only person here who likes All the World a Stage. But I can respect your opinion and understand where you're coming from.

It is a story about overcoming adversity. Jane never sells out, and it does have a happy ending to it with her becoming the co-host of Quick Talk. But for me, and I think most people here, that's where the redeeming qualities end.

I don't have the same issue with it that most others have. Most people wanted to know more about her mother, because that was a blatant plot hole that should have been addressed (was Loretta Jane's mother like she knew growing up and seemingly shown by her appearance at the funeral, called her mother, or is she not, as she claims during the interview). This story doesn't do that. In fact, Loretta isn't mentioned once. Instead, we are introduced to this Dwayne character (who, admittedly, does decent social commentary on minority films).

My issue is how much of a SJW fever dream it is. It felt like every other sentence was there to remind you "hey, she's a minority!" That's not good character development. It's a lazy attempt to do social commentary in a game where that doesn't belong. And, judging by the reaction by quite a few people, that drove them away from the story (some people even said they were inspired to tunnel Jane due to it, which does admittedly seem a bit extreme). Another issue I have is how lazily they wrote Jane's character. More specifically, how she could never find anything more than small, overexaggerated racial archetypes. If she was even a halfway decent actress, especially in the time period the story seems set in (late 2000's-early 2010's), she should be able to get an actual role. And the sudden heel-turn the director did at the end was just stupid. His logic had fifteen leaps too many and costed him the show, given how long it takes to get actors trained, all in the name of "comedy" (which overly exaggerated accents like that barely qualify as to begin with).

I respect your opinion of this story, but I also want to tell you that you are a lonely voice, and the devs should know better than to follow a story type that no one cares for. I am sorry if I seem hostile, but that's simply how I am when I rant like this.

So, to end this, a positive statement, because you feel genuine in your love for this story. Good job on getting through the Escape through the Hatch with a Key 2 times challenge. That one turned my insanity to full-blast.

I really appreciate your comment and see that we are not all sooooo toxic when we communicate with other players, I have to start by saying that I do not speak English, but I invite you to watch a video that maybe can change your opinion.

I know this game is not especially known for its well written Lore. In fact, it hardly existed until recently. And yes, practically in every paragraph there is at least one phrase to make you feel bad, in one way or another, for the character. But I'm not sure man, those stories happens everyday, all the time, most of them it doesnt have a happy ending so we don't notice it. I mean, the Wraith's Lore it's even more poorly written but we are ok with it.

Finally I feel lucky of getting that archive in 3 games, but than one of the protection hits ...... it toke to me like 10 games .......

I thought that one was rather weak. I though the Doctor's and Spirit's stories were better done. Even then, Davids had more punch to it (pun not intended, but keeping it anyway).

I disagree about your opinion of the lore. The game's lore has been in the game for a while, when you look at the Benedict Baker entries (found in the game manual and other places), and then each of the character's bios, there has been some lore, and we knew of several realms (the Void, the Entity's Realm, Dream World, Spirit Realm, and the Astral Plane), but the archives is only building on the great foundations given.
