Will I be banned by EAC or by the devs themselves if I change the in-game description?

I want to try to replace words with numbers in add-on description, and make my own translation.

Will I be banned for that?

If I'm not mistaken, you have to edit your packs to do that. The only things you're really "allowed" to edit in the game files are your icons (if you want custom icons).

For this reason, I don't encourage you to do it, there is a possibility you'll get banned for it.

Should be fine, to be frank it's not giving you an advantage in game. If you can edit perk icons, you can edit whatever the words are. I don't see what reason there would be to get banned over it, plus, who would even see it in game? It's not cheating.

Like most things, it's a "do at your own risk" mentality. Changing the game files in-general will usually run the risk of EAC banning you, this is why players that change their icons in-game are told that it's a "do at your own risk" thing.

I don't know if this is a bigger risk than changing a perk icon or character portrait, nobodies really done it while casually going about their day afterwards, at least from what I've seen. I'm not really invested in how the game files work either (and what EAC monitors), so just take what I say with a grain of salt.

Keep in-mind that EAC banning you is not through BHVR, it's through an entirely different system. So If you did hypothetically get banned by EAC for this, than you would have to go to the owners of EAC (Easy Anti-Cheat) about it, which I believe is owned by Epic Games studio.

I would like to have the devs respond to this. I would change item description aswell since I'm annoyed about "slightly" etc instead if actual numbers.
