No, DC penalties can not. The devs would have to do that themselves.

I don't believe it's actually been officially confirmed one way or the other. It was certainly possible to get automatically banned for disconnecting too much under the old system, so it's not outside the realms of possibility that that could be a feature of this one as well.

I don’t believe in a DC penalty at all 😂 why should a player pay money for a game that 1) has lag issues still making it unfair to play the game giving the opposing side the advantage

    2) survivor isn’t fun most of the time, killer is. *Repair progress bars, only two buttons used to interact with everything in the game, slugging and Mori’ing. Killers end chases too fast imo with the exception of a few good places to loop. they’re taking those away though. Face camping. List goes on and on. It’s either stare at yourself on the hook or watch a progress bar. Chases aren’t fun with the vast Easy amount of ways to acquire one hit downs. Eh.

    3) oh... bad hitboxes at vaults. Why is it I’m on the other side, taken a few steps and going down still blows my mind 🤷‍♂️

    4) ohhhh. Also, the players that usually DC are the ones that weren’t rewarded enough anyways for playing. We all know killers get rewarded a lot more for playing than survivors do 🤷‍♂️ I think it’s easier to fulfill killer categories than all 4 survivor ones. That might be why. You gotta make it feel worth all of our time here. Mori’s take away from that. As do face camping and tunneling. It’s not fun. These are all viable reasons why someone would DC. Rather than kick people out of the game they should be encouraging them to play and enjoy it more by implementing more enjoyable survivor stuff :)

I think killers DC typically because it’s a map they don’t like. Practically half the maps are maps I don’t like but I play them anyways. That’s the kind of stuff that should boot you from playing . I spent time to queue up and you drop the lobby Over a map you don’t like when you’re the tough guy in the game huh ? 😂 yeah okay

yeah nobody asked tho? like really, this is someones question, not a discussion on whether or not the DC penalty is good. why'd you try and turn it into this?

as for OP, the guy above me said it pretty well. to simplify: you can from DCing excessively, but it's separate from the DC penalty itself.
