Are we getting Shards for next Rift for the time we play before it releases?
I'm not sure if it also happened last Rift...Do you guys think we are getting Shards for progression of the coming Rift for the time we play now?
I knew it happened for the first Rift but I thought it was only like that because it got delayed. Do you think there's any chance that we will get Shards for our time that we play now before it releases? So that we will start with a higher level?
I hope it's clear what I mean :)

i doubt it. personally, i don't see it as that great of an idea due to the fact that people all have to start off on the same ground and that the rift has to be completed within a specific timeframe. it'll break the correlation between actual game time from start-to-finish, and the time-window for the rift as well, since the rift is on the schedule.

Rift progress is only gained while it is released and open. Any progress in the times when rifts are closed does not contribute to future or previous rifts.
