Can anyone think of a "GOOD" reason there is a blood point cap.
I'm referring to to the 1,000,000 total BP cap. The in game are limited for a reason. The killer can only realistically do so well in each category. As for survivor you are a team of 4 and no 1 person should have to do more than their share in each category.
I know it's very common that that happens but thats always due to the other survivors and killer that can directly influence that.
As they should be able to. It's a multi-player game. Exp or in this case bp isn't always guaranteed.

Officially to stop people from instantly leveling new characters
For real to put a cap on grinding

No. There isnt.
The logic is to stop or notice hackers with free bp bc 1 mil can... stop it?
Which is asinine considering if someone is going to cheat, theyll do it anyway at a lesser scale, repeatedly. So it prevents nothing except regular players from having more than 1 mil at a time. Meaning with full bp you cant even 1-50 someone.

I think its because of the hackers.

As if we cant do that to an extent anyway. 1 mil bp, 16k shards on a tuesday afternoon with 3 dailies can hit 50. Drop 8k on 4 perks before reset after spending 600k. At 1 mil. Spend another 600k an hour later after spending 8k shards on another 4 perks.
That's 2.2 mil right there without the dailies and any archives you havent claimed.
I got oni to 50 within 20 mins of buying him.
So it just makes the process more of a pita for people.

they implemented it, becaue they didnt want cheaters to gain infinite amounts of BP in the earliest versions of the game.
its very outdated imo...

Kinda funny how now that WoW is reducing levelling time by 70% DBD could be a bigger grind lol

remember after lvl 40 you get 2 perks per bloodweb xd they almost cut grind in half xd

Except at level 40 you've already gone through 80% of the grind. Not even that, considering Bloodwebs get bigger and bigger at higher levels

You got over 1 Million bloodpoints within 20 minutes ???!!!!! THATS IMPOSSIBLE.

Now add in the archive challenges and there's more BP to spend (and that's what I'm doing now)
So if you have archive challenges to do I'd do them but save them "for a rainy day"

how come lvl 40 is 80% of grind? when before bloodweb change you had to get over 200 bloodwebs?? your match is questionable or for you lvl 50 means character is done, not maxed out
btw bbq and we're gonna farm isnt helping in farming bp at all xd if you want everything since the beginning maybe play different game

it use to be 500,000 so feel lucky haha. honestly im not sure why theres a cap but it doesnt really matter just spend the BP as you get it, i would assume its due to new chapters getting released and they dont want people to have all the strongest stuff straight off the bat, they waant people to work towards things after the release, you get a head start and thats it. this way you see new killers/survivors using different perks till they unlock the meta ones. (or you can just not claim the tome challenges and you have save BP that way if you really wanted) either way i dont mind the cap

Well, so you have a reason to play. Let's say there's 2 and a half months until the next chapter, i already grinded almost 10 milion bps, so i have the bps to instant max out the survivor and the killer from the next chapter. I don't have any reason to keep grinding bps for future survivors and killers since i can just put on bbq on a double event, play for 15 hours and stop playing the game for months because i have no reason to.
But yeah, now we have the challanges and the rift so there's a reason to play so i don't get burned out of the game.

It's entirely because of hackers and not letting them get infinite BP. I'm not surprised. I'm not thrilled. But I understand it and why it is still in place.
As for the in-game ones, they should possibly be either increased or removed. It's a remnant of an older ranking system, from what I've heard. I've only played with Emblems.
