DC penalty on Xbox + Basement bug still active

Hi, I just had a game where a deathslinger hooked survivors specifically only in the basement. Didn’t understand why. Then when I was on a hook across the map, I could see two auras down there just spinning in circles and walking into walls. I died obviously, because they couldn’t see/do anything. I assume this is the basement bug again, where when a survivor is hooked in the basement, they essentially fall into a void. This was supposed to be patched up a while ago and it honestly didn’t happen for a while.

The problem I have with this is: just yesterday we had DC penalties/dedicated servers brought back to Xbox. I don’t think it’s right for the DC penalty to be active while there are bugs like this still happening.

When a killer decides to send us to the void with this basement bug, we have to just sit there doing nothing? We can’t dc or we’ll just be punished for it, so I guess the answer is obvious, but I personally think this is wrong. At the very least, survivors should be able to dc when the game bugs out for them.
