so i started playing clown at rank 2...
Not good. He's not too bad at green maybe purple on a good day but going as clown at red ranks is a death sentence. So i have thought about some buffs and here is what i've come up with.
- Have no movement speed penalty when reloading. It is infuriating how long it takes just to get back FOUR bottles. The amount of times i've lost a chase just because i have to reload is staggering. At least Deathslinger does it in 3 seconds and his power ends chases much quicker.
- 5 bottles by standard. Don't get how huntress has more by default when her power is much deadlier
- Increase movement speed penalty for survivors when intoxicated by a lot.
- This might be a bit of a stretch but maybe give him a second ability. I don't know because his power by itself with these changes implemented would still feel underwhelming.
Maybe i'm being a bit greedy here but my boy clown needs some love. It is ok to have some killers to be stronger than others but shouldn't be by a lot. Clown is miles behind everyone else leatherface the exception. Would love to hear anyone else's thoughts on this

I don't think survivors need to be slowed down more than they are, but rather he shouldn't be slowed down at all

New ability: belly flop
Pressing the use power button when all bottles are used sends the clown flying belly first for a set distance
When he comes into contact with a survivor they are flung 10 meters in the oppesite direction
If the survivor comes into contact with a solid structure they lose a healthstate
If the survivor comes into contact with another survivor they both lose a healthstate
This ability and survivors flung into pallets or breakable walls destroy them

iv been playing him at rank 1 fine, i personally dont think he`s that bad of a killer.. a slightly increased reload speed is fine but iv usually downed someone so i reload before picking up, so id save a few seconds during the whole game

The big problem with Clown is that Freddy exists. I have not played Clown for a while, but I guess I have better results with my Freddy Dailys (currently not leveled, using Fire Up 1 as only Perk) than I had with my Clown. I am not playing Clown, because I cannot bring myself to playing it.
The main problem I see is that he has a Chase Ability, but cannot abandon Chase Perks. Spirit is similar, she is godlike in Chases, so she can only use Tracking or Slowdown-Perks. Clown cannot get away with this.
I guess there is a lot they can do from simple Tweaks to a more detailed Rework (like Doctor got), which still maintains his Power as it is.
Small Tweaks could be:
Higher Movement Speed while reloading, not so much Cooldown after a Bottle Throw.
Reload time depending on Bottles which are actually reloaded - like, if I have 2 Bottles left after I hooked a Survivor, why should I have to reload the same amount of time like I would have when reloading 4 Bottles? - so when I go for a Reload of two Bottles, I only spend have of the time to reload them.
Removing the Sound he makes when vaulting a Window - like seriously, he is the only Killer doing that, because he coughs when vaulting a Window. Sure, he is a big, fat, unhealthy man, but there is not really a reason to remove Mindgames at Windows.
Add On Rework
And who knows what else can be tweaked.

Yes I agree! If he looses the massive slowdown after throwing a bottle that in itself would make him immensely better.

I think the 2 best adition to his power would this:
- When a survivor is intoxicated, the survivor receives a repair, healing and sabotaging penatly of 75% for the whole duration.
So you can slow down gens, especially when you are are good with throwing bottles.
- For every intoxicated survivor you gain a stackable bonus of 5% on speed for your next bottle refill.

The thing is that there's a lower ranks and players with no experience. This is not only red ranks. Increases movement speed penalty is not good for low rank players.
I recomment faster movement and faster reload by default, remove already the sounds Clown making when he vaulting windows, create something like plagues fountain for cleansing or if you don't, survivors will have penalty for repairing etc.
I mean there's much stronger killers and weaker ones. This is how the game works.
