Separate servers for SWF?
So I played as a survivor main solo play for a long time, mainly because the game wasn't working for me as killer until the dedicated servers came out.
I logged a lot of hours in survivor solo play and now that dedicated servers are back I've been playing mostly killer, just for a change of pace.
My first few matches were fine and dandy.
Then all of a sudden I started getting match after match against red and purple ranked players with maybe one player near my rank. Frankly, it f$*!$ sucks.
I was never really toxic in my gameplay. I didn't abuse flashlights, teabag, I still don't have the hang of the 360. For those reasons I never understood all the people who have played killer who complain in the forums.
I totally get it now.
One match I downed a survivor and was going to casually put them on a hook. I make it a strict rule that I don't camp the hooks just because as a survivor that pissed me off to no end. Well, in this match the second someone was down all three other survivors started rushing to the downed survivor the second they went down. I quickly realized that if I went to attack any of them then the other two would heal the downed one. I was like ..."well I have to put this person on a hook, it's my only objective..." I stood there in close vicinity to this poor downed survivor for like 5 minutes just basic attack swiping to fend of these 3 other players. Three of them had flashlights, if I recall correctly, so I had to keep looking up to avoid the blind effect. I tried to get this downed person a hook like 2-3 times and each time they'd all body block and then rescue them immediately. I'd just down the same person over and over and they just kept doing the same thing. At one point I just guarded this downed survivor because they were all within like 6 feet of me trying to find a way to get by me and heal the person like a g$£**!! pack of animals. Needless to say the downed person just dc'd the second time I got them on the hook. They pulled the exact same strategy the entire match along with teabagging constantly the whole time.
I was rank 19 at the time. I checked the end game stats and they were all purple and red ranks. I blocked them all afterwards and hopefully never play with them ever again either as killer or survivor.
Afterwards pretty much all of my matches started looking like that.
After 4-5 matches like that I found myself camping the person on the hook simply because their teammates were always within visible distance and waiting to pull some lame shenanigans like teabagging and flashlight blinding while rescuing the person right in front of me the second they got on the hook.
At one point I got so frustrated with one player who seemed to be the worst of the group I literally facecamped them until they died. Another player like that in a different match I just downed and then stood over them and waited until they bled out, only because their teammates were constantly just right in my field of view and trying to rush in to save them.
This has led me to understand that this game is pure toxicity on either end of the spectrum.
The only thing I can think is that maybe they should have separate servers for SWF. It seems like the ranking system is broken in the sense that if a SWF group of different ranks gets together then they can get matched against a killer that doesn't have a similar rank. For example two or more people can play together in SWF and some of them can be red, purple, or green ranks, and then one can be low rank like 14-20 and then the system ends up matching them up against a total random rank, but then you have like two people who are rank 4 and one who is rank 16 and then they get a random in the lobby who is rank whataver and then end up playing against me at rank 19.
I think separate servers for SWF would be good because then the ranking system would be more consistent and it would give killers the opportunity to decide if they want to deal with some $&*thead SWF group or not.
Just my thoughts so far. I'm trying to get better at being a killer character without resorting to camping or tunneling, which seems to work out plenty fine when I'm matched against players closer to my rank, but throw in the bugs and glitches with the ranking system and it's incredibly difficult.
What do you all think? Would separate servers for SWF be better?
Side note: Just completed a match as a rank 17 killer against the following ranks; 7,12,5,4

Nah. Not needed. It's better this way. If you add a solo queue and a SWF queue. Killers will continue to get ran by solo survivors and they won't have anything to blame it on. It's better to keep SWF in the game at this point. It gives killers an excuse every time they lose. It's actually a healthy thing at this point.

But do you think it would fix the bugs in the ranking system? People getting rainbow mixes of ranks in a match.

People keep saying on the forums that they're redoing matchmaking. So I would just wait for that. Though it seems like that has been a promise made for years now. I feel like it was 2 years ago or so where they mentioned having this really cool ranking system. And it's not here yet. So I'm not sure if people are just like, "THEY PROMISED 2 YEARS AGO IT'S COMING!" Or if they've recently showed somewhere that it's actually being rolled out soon.

So all killers would play the non-SWF and all survivors play the SWF. Noone gets a game. Good idea.

No i dont think this is a good idea because why would any killer que up for a swf game? What about two player swf?Or three player swf? There is way to many things to be accounted for so for the sake of playing with freinds this will never be introduced.

Well I mean, no killer would play the swf one as chances are it would be an unfair and/or unfun match. People in swf would never get into a game

That’s a giantass wall of text my god
as to the title, no: alienating the majority of players is a terrible idea, among many many reasons

I believe the devs said a bit over half of the games are SWF of at least 2, so half of the survivors gone would do what to wait times? And how many killers will volunteer to go into SWF only queues?

I understand the frustration. Sometimes I already figure out they are SWF when I get the lobby.... So you get time to plan a bit ahead. It will always be frustrating when they do things like you described because in my opinion it ruins the games experience. That being said I try to follow my own plan and not engage in what the survivors want.
Yesterday I got a SWF team who got me with a head on stun; after that I was on to them of course so I didn't let them lead me on again. They were so busy trying to get the head on stuns that they threw the game and started swarming around me to trick me into following to the locker... I just kept switching targets, getting a hit then leaving, luring them into dropping pallets/breaking those. It isn't like I enjoy these type of games the most but I make the best of it and can feel fine about the little things I achieve.
So try not to go after clicky-clicky baiting but carefully try to find the weakest link in the team. If they swarm the hook that's fine just be a little patient and instead of a hit just try to grab them during the unhook animation. And whatever they do stick to your own plan!!! Don't stop patrolling gens and try to force a three gen situation out of it. If they three gen themselves and you stay calm and don't let them lure you away in a chase you can still keep control over the game.
SWF objective is to mostly piss you off in a way that they get the upperhand and you end up being super tilted. Playing games is about having fun don't let the survivors take that away from you! I do get SWF who play good but those are not the problem here.. Some people seem to forget that if more killers stop playing the queue time just goes up. If they implement separate servers you will just increase the waiting time, just deal with the toxic SWF and stay in control. You win some, you lose some just prevent the powerless feeling afterwards.

I am into separated game mods - Maybe after devs see no killer wanna go vs SWF, devs start realise how SWF is damn hell broken and unfun for killers.

the devs know, they just dont care.

I was thinking that maybe SWF was the reason the matchmaking was broken, because normally I get a rainbow mix of survivors with one or two near my rank but usually just one during those sweaty toxic matches.
However I just played a match against 4 survivors all twice as high of a rank as me.
So I'm guessing that's not the issue (︶︹︶)

No one. Lol that's the problem with this idea. I don't even mind facing SWF. I think that SWF is one of the most overrated things in the game. I think that 90% of SWF teams are terrible and 8% of them are decent and 2% of them are unstoppable. But still. Why would a killer ever queue into SWF when they can just have easier games. I could see a few killers doing it. People that are really good and want to accept the challenge. But a SWF team would be sitting in queue for about 3 hours while the handful of killers played against other teams until they got their turn.

I was trying to say that maybe SWF is why the ranking/matchmaking system doesn't seem to work.
