Insanity t3 not being able to mend

So erm, this is the first time this has happened that Ive gotten into this situation but if I get to t3 insanity from the doctors shock power and I take a borrowed time hit I cant really stop running because then the timer will go down, but I need to snap out of it (stand still) to be able to mend even though the mend timer will run out before I'll be able to finish snapping out.

So yeah, whats up with that?

You should still have plenty of time to mend even after snapping out of it. Snapping out of it takes 12 seconds and you have 20 seconds on the BT Timer.

what happens when u cant run all the time bc ur trying to hide so the bar goes down? then the 20 will go down and well ur dead

Then you wasted your time hiding instead of mending, play better next time.

it wasnt like that, it was more like everyone was down and as soon as i went to snap out of it the killer chased me again, so it was a constant like either to snap out or to run which made the timer go down. but sure yeah "ill play better next time"

Although it is annoying, you can still mend. If the mend is caused by a low level BT, then you could always find a teammate to mend you instead. It's not ideal, but changing this would break the schtick of madness

That is really bad. Mend should always take prior over any other action since it is the most important action.

@Awkward_Fiend  I don't see how that will break anything of madness I am not sure that you even put a simple thught into what you said. Actually the doc himself would like that tier 3 to stay for longer on his target /the survivor may scream or if there is a side effect it may get procsed/ which will happen if that person is able to mend first.

@SkeletalElite - Someone just told they CAN'T mend cause they have madness 3 You -> don't hide just mend

Yes, this is the fix that has been needed for the longest time: mending needs to take place before snapping out of it. Resolves all problems, don't know why this hasn't been adjusted yet.

the devs call it intentional, but they also made alot of other "intentional" decisions in the past too

You can still have another survivor mend you. It's kind of like old BT except a medkit/self care wont do it.

And T1 Autodidact is a net loss, and T1 Diversion makes the notification appear right in front of you, and Iron Will is useless outside of T3. The better option would be for that person to use a better perk, but... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ######### happens.

And, in the end, its just an edge case. Like people who say "Deliverance should let you escape the hook as the last one alive!".

That is still a case of playing better next time. If you're in chase or running, you do not lose mend time. So there's literally no way you can fall to mend while snapping out of it UNLESS you try to hide and play poorly. Snapping out of it does not reset so you can literally be in a chase with Doc, and slowly snap out at each pallet. Since you're in a chase you'll never lose the mend timer. Eventually you'll snap out and have plenty of time to mend.

Uh... the Doctor can continue to shock you during chase, preventing you from snapping out of it. It only saves the progress you made if you hit a skill check. Flawed argument.
