Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Change mechanics release from maniac grip

I noticed that often when a maniac picks you up, you have little chance of escaping his grip. The time you dial the "scale" to escape is not enough and so I suggest a little change in the mechanics of the process when you try to free yourself from the maniac 's grip.

I suggest you introduce the mechanics of checking the skills here as well. For example, "excellent skill check" fills the scale by 50% and "good skill check" by 25%.

I am aware that there are perks/skills for accelerated filling of the escape "scale," but often they also do not save from the sinister bloody hook!

Tell me if you agree with this offer or not.

If you have other options as to how to adjust/change the way you escape from the maniac grip, then send to the mail, I will be glad to get your opinion)))

I do not believe that the wiggle bar needs changing, it is not intended to allow you to escape on your own (at least as far as I can tell). The purpose seems to be to limit the distance the killer can carry you, and body blocking only further limits this distance.

Disagreed, you're not supposed to get yourself free from the Killer's grip often (not counting Decisive Strike), not even sometimes, but rarely.

A lot of new players mistake the wiggle mechanic's purpose to be able to wiggle out of the killers grasp. It's actually not, the main purpose for wiggling is to make sure that a killer doesn't take you all the way across the map into the basement since that hook is the most disadvantageous to be placed on.

If a fellow survivor sabotages a hook or you + a teammate are running perks like Flip flop, boil over, Breakout, etc. it may be possible to wiggle out of the killers grasp far more frequently especially if they don't realize what you're doing and aren't running perks like iron grasp, agitation, mad grit, etc. But it's really not all that reliable.

As it should be, because if survivors were able to frequently wiggle out of the killers grasp (especially just because they hit a couple of skillchecks) killers would hardly ever be able to hook anybody unless they were extremely close to a hook.
