Essentially no news on matchmaking since the January blog?

Am I mistaken, or have there been essentially no substantial updates on the status of the matchmaking fixes since the January post?
We understood that they were collecting data and would be testing. Months later, we hear that the devs are developing a new metric and will be doing tests. For an issue so essential for the quality of the game, this was pretty disappointing.
Has there been anything else?
