Bodyblocking with DS
If a survivor has DS and they purposely get in my way or want my attention i.e flashlight clicks, teabagging, waving or bodyblocking for the purpose of stunning me. Am I still tunneling? I mean, they're asking for it right?

If they're stupid enough to do that, then you leave them to kiss the dirt. They WANT you to go after them, after all. They think that it's a free pass since it's an easy enough skill check to hit.
Either eat it and leave them alone, so they don't have the chance to use it again, OR slug them and waste their time, which also applies pressure.

I always go for the one who unhooked, I will smack the survivor down if they get in my way and leave them to the other 2 teammates that are hiding nearby.
Anyway you are completely with in your own right to play this game however you see fit so long as you don't cheat.

If they get in your way especially while you're after someone else best you can do is probably just put them on the ground and continue what you're doing unless you're fine with eating the DS. I've seen killers get screwed over by both trying to ignore them and get past their bodyblocking when it makes them lose whoever they're really chasing AND by instantly downing them, picking them up and getting DSd.
When it comes to clicking, tbagging and such they're not actually preventing you from doing whatever you're doing in any way, if anything it's just nice of them to be your cheerleader as they follow you around as they're not doing anything useful ๐

If they are doing that, they obviously want you to come for them, so it would be fair game for sure. I feel like thats probably an indication you want to pursue someone else though, or slug them and continue pursuing your original target.

Just slap them if they are out of position and leave em. Atleast then someone more productive has to come get them. I'd be careful about giving people trying to get your attention too much of it though. If they are trying to get your attention then they aren't doing gens which is a win for you already.

Reminds me of a game I had as Billy where a freshly unhooked survivor bodyblocked my chainsaw because of BT. Well... surely you wouldnt mind taking ANOTHER chainsaw if your gonna jump in the way of the first, right? They DCed after the 3rd chainsaw landed right after their DS, lol.

stop worrying about the survivors, play your game, have fun, stop trying to follow rule books.

Thank you everyone who gave the advice. If it makes a difference, I mainly get faced with this option late game or EGC. So the BT, or DS survivor usually body blocks to save their other friends.

Yeah, don't worry about anyone but yourself. Only you should have fun. You don't even know those four other people who also paid money to play a spirited game and have fun, so who cares about them anyway. They are only, like, other human beings. ๐

Why do people always assume the negatives? There are times when someone is being tunneled and on death hook, I will gladly try to get The Killer's attention to keep someone else alive. If I have DS active and a friend is in trouble, that's not me being toxic, that's me being altruistic and smart.

Where in the survivor rule book is the part about killers fun it gets brought up

I get what you're saying, I just don't get why they do that then message me saying I'm the toxic tunneler when they risk themselves on death hook.. I get that it's being altruistic. I just needed to make sure that I wasn't in the wrong and being a douche

Protection hits should disable DS simple.

Actually that would just make it useless. You get unhooked you get imeadiatly hit right next to a survivor "oh well you were being altruistic no ds for you". And thats just one thing that could easily make your idea Worthless(no offense)

My philosophy is that if they actively get in my way to protect another survivor, they are trying to get you to attack them. Just hit them and continue on. Come back if you lose your original quarry.

What if they have both borrowed time and DS?

The problem with your question is that you worry about this weird concept that entitled, bad survivors invented and named "tunneling". There is no such thing. Kill everyone, itยดs literally your only purpose as a Killer. If the teams you face are stupid enough to mess up their unhooks in a way so that your best bet is to whack the guy who was just hooked, go for it. There are no rules to this, and itยดs not poor play from your side.

Slug them and move on to the next survivor. Someone will have to go and get them, that's 3 people off gens.

Not my problem to worry about other players. I paid money for this game too. The issue of balance and fun is solely up to the devs, not me. It is not my responsibility to provide you with fun. The devs have also stated that their goal is to make this game frustrating.

Please say that was a joke.

Assuming they dont DC once they get hit. I cant tell you how many times the recently unhooked person (presumably with DS) runs right at me and gets knocked to the ground as I continue to chase the unhooker, only to immediately DC.

Spoken like a true killer main, "It's all about me"! Killing this game is what you are really doing. Go play a game with NPC's if this is your real attitude.

In that situation, eat the DS. Eating DS is removing a perk from someone's loadout for the rest of the game. Obviously, in endgame situations, that doesn't do much for you, but I consider it a gift when someone gives me DS when I wasn't even after them in the first place. Slugs are very overrated. The survivors you'll need a lot if game stall against aren't going to be overly fazed by slugging. In fact, many of them are going to have Unbreakable anyway. TLDR: don't make it a point to tunnel, but don't worry about DS.
