hag any good??

Thinking about starting to play her. Any tips or suggestions? All i know is that swf demolishes her but there's like 3 killers who can stand against a swf anyway.

I really enjoy playing her. Didn't think she'd fit my playstyle at all. But she's pretty good. It's nice if you can actually set up. My only problem with her is when you're in a chase survivors tend to run around and pop all of her traps that are away from the chase. So by time you end up getting a hook you only have like 2-3 traps set out on the map. And have to work again on setting up some traps. I think she could certainly use a little bit of help. I don't really know what add ons to use on her either. So maybe there's something in there that will help.

But she makes some annoying parts of the game pretty fun. Strong loops and killer shack is pretty easy for her to trap up and ruin for a survivor to use.

I guess one way to slow the game down would to be trap up around a hooked survivor so they have to crotch walk to get a save. But the games tend to go fast when I play her. Very little to slow it down and create pressure. I guess against newer players that like to self heal against her can make her feel really strong. But she doesn't have the greatest chases so survivors tend to just stay injured and hope they don't trigger a trap during a chase.

I first started using Hag as my starter killer and had all 4K cause she is just that good in my opinion, her traps can come to some use if you use them properly.

She's good. Although, she won't do much better than others on some maps, mainly Fractured Cowshed and Rotten Fields.

She is a very powerful killer, much stronger than most people think. People just don't realize that because she is one of the least played killers.

Corrupt Intervention is a must have for her. You need time to set up your traps.

M&A can make her terror radious very small, makes it easier to get the first hits. I would recommend using it.

One of the most important things to know while playing as her is knowing when to stop chasing someone. You shouldn't try to chase someone if they are at a good loop since you are really slow. You should mostly rely on your traps so don't try to chase normally.

I didn't think of using M&A on her, thanks for the tip.

I love hag. Im not good with her but she is a great killer. Her and trapper kind of play the same as both are rewarded for map knowledge and survivor knowledge. Where she kicks trappers ass is in set up and recover. Not having to pick up traps from the entire other side of the map is just plain amazing.

Some issues that i have with her is her height. Makes it hard to see over many objects. Corn is 10 times more annoying with her for me.

Also a flashlight really hinders her. If you see multiple in lobby switch killers.

Her best add on in my opinion is the one that doesn't create a husk when survivors trigger it. Early game its a crazy jump scare.

Don't start chases in the early game. Even if finding survivors is very tempting, your top priority is to create a "web" of traps that will make future chases much shorter. Also try to always have as many traps active as possible, even if it takes time. Their effect can easily compensate for the time lost.

Hag's the third best killer (yes I consider her stronger than Billy, Freddy and Oni) in my opinion, I think she's incredible and at base (no addons) she can effortlessly lock down half the map. With Hag, you can just defend one half of map's gens and shut down all loops and the survivors will HAVE to come into it to win, to which they'll definitely lose since you can snowball them.

Perks to use that make her a massive threat are:

STBFL (she can tp everywhere and get fast hits), Thanatophobia (she injures people easily and this is the best quirk to delay the game for her), Sloppy butcher (very good with Thanatophobia), Ruin (saves time slapping gens), Corrupt intervention (force them there at the start), A Nurses Calling (a must have with her), Hex the Third seal (if you wanna slug, cause she's one of the best chasers), and Hex Devour hope (because she gets hooks very easily) and some more that I can't think of at the top of my head.

Some advice if you do get her is not to chase survivors when they get out of your setup (which Hag mains call 'Web'), since you ARE 110% MS and they will loop you bad, don't be afraid to let them take 1 half of the map, protect the other fiercely, and also trap routes and chokepoints as well as loops to be unpredictable, which makes you dangerous. but, if you face a flashlight matchup, it hurts you a lot, but you might win if you're tactical (I've beat flashlight SWF in the past, but I had to REALLY tryhard and think ahead, it was luck).

I think you'd enjoy her though! Oh, she's also not map dependant, has good maps, but no real bad ones.

Yeah, she ends chases way faster than any other killer with a full web if set well...

She top tier just don't put too many traps around the hooks

Put traps everywhere so when patrolling you can accidentally find a survivor. Also put traps near gens and loops

Hag is my main. I really enjoy her. Especially against dbags and groups that like to be jerks. I can be really cheap with her.

I also can okay her very straight. She’s great for me.

Honestly, Hag would be on Nurse/Spirit levels of brokenly strong if not for:

    1) Flashlights.

    2) Urban Evasion.

    3) Teleport glitch.

    3) Good players disabling your traps while you are animation locked.

Flashlights interacting with her traps in such a detrimental way is just plain wrong. Good players already know her weakness, flaslighting traps is plain overkill. Urban Evasion is Urban Evasion, there's nothing to be said there. It's just extra good against Hag to have increased crouch speed. And the teleport glitch is just a bug, so hopefully it will be gone soon.

And yes, good players can destroy your web quite easily. All they have to do is recognise the area of the map you are refusing to leave and sprint through it while you are carrying another survivor to a hook. 5 traps, gone. Now you have to reset.

BUT, after all that, Hag is still insanely strong. She doesn't play like any other killer so it's best to keep that in mind, but that crazy ######### is so ######### strong that you can player her perkless and still wreck. (Assuming you get nice and good with her.) She is straight up amazing.

MY best bit of advice is to not put traps right on pallets or windows, put them far enough away so when they get triggered and you teleport there's still time to get moving before you lunge for the hit.
