thinks that the recovery speed when the killer is carrying u vs the amount and distances between hooks is stupid???? Like, i can do 17392749 spins with my joystick and the killer can sit and smoke a spliff and I will end hooked anyways

When I bought this game I broke my analogue stick because i thought the harder you wiggle, the greater chance you have to escape. Eventually learned it's not the case ;d

But like the others said, wiggling is there primarily to prevent a killer from hooking you wherever they want and limit their choice to 2 or 3 hooks that are in the viscinity. It sometimes also forces them to run into walls, which is pretty funny, especially if you've equipped boil over. Obviously there's also the case where your teammates body block for you and/or use breakout to help you actually wiggle out.

The answer to any question that begins with "Am I the only one who..." is always "No".

In this case, though, while there will be some people that agree, as others have pointed out, the wiggle mechanic is not meant to allow you to escape under ordinary circumstances. At the point where you're on the killer's shoulder, you're practically already hooked, and anything that gets you out at that point is a bonus. The wiggle mechanic essentially just functions as a ticking clock for the killer, so they know they only have so long to hook you before you escape. Obviously, any killer worth their salt will do whatever they can to make sure they get you to a hook in that time.
