Why are so many Killers playing Doctor now.

I’ve played 12 matches today, I’m in Green Ranks, and pretty much all of those matches have been against a doctor, running noed, having an ebony Mori, and killing on first hook, it’s gotten to the point where I seriously consider DCing whenever I hear the first scream because of how I’m tired of going against him.

Well you're at green ranks so NOED is a given. You should try running small game or a map it'll save a lot of frustration and it's what I do after every rank reset and I'm back down to purple or green. Idk what to say about a Mori because there really is no countering that, it just sucks that a lot of killers are resorting to them to win.

Well, there is currently a Doctor themed tome and his challenges are somewhat easy to get. "Shock four people in one trial", so use my power all of twice? Ok. Easy BP.

As for NoED, it does appear to be the new killer crutch of the year now that Hex: Ruin got a deserved rework.

Also, one for both of you to know as well is that I've had the same thing when rank reset hit. 4 different killers, 5 games. All with NoED and each different killer brought an Ebony. The last two were the same Hillbilly who swapped Primer Bulb for CTG and make a full insta-saw. Two were Spirit, and I forget the first one.

There are a couple reasons. Doctor doesn't require a ton of skill relative to his output, and he tends to be extremely strong against newer to mid rank players.

Good thing to do when this is happening is put on perks/items to counter a killer, and luckily for you Doctor has a pretty hard counter to his tracking; Calm Spirit.

Using perks as a counter is never great, but it'll make things easier if you continue to face him or you'll get the bull of now that you've brought counters they aren't showing up.

But then at least they're not showing up lol

Pretty much this. Doctor tends to get ez 4ks in most games. Its only pro survivors that give him a run for his money but the odds of having 3 of those in game with you is very, very slim outside of swf

new players like to play immersed and doc counters that, whereas both are nearly non-existent at higher ranks

    doc is actually pretty weak
