If 2 kill 2 escape is the goal

If 2 kill is the goal for the dev how come when i 2k i dont black pip because the logic thing to do if you want to balence the game for 2k and 2 escape is give killer a black pip if they 2k but if i 2k i almost always depip the pip system should look like that

0k minus 2 pip

1k minus 1 pip

2k black pip

3k plus 1 pip

4k plus 2 pip

This feel simpler and at least if i dominate a team i wont black pip because they decide to kill themself on first hook or i wont get punish for slugging them

That used to be the threshold called the Victory Cube, but they replaced it with the emblem system.

I think it's because it heavily rewarded camping and tunneling, as long as you can get some kills you'll be able to rank up which isn't ideal for the devs. The Emblem System forces you to play the game and entertain your opponents for longer rather than just efficiently destroy them.

I thinks it's because of interaction between Killer and Survivors.

Otherwise you could just facecamp 2 survivors for a safety pip. Or you could even pip because some survivors will just get overaltruistic instead of doing gens.

Or you get a Doublepip for a round where you played horrible as a killer but a tiny mistake from the survivor side gave you an oppurtunity to kill them all. You win, but did you deserve a double pip? Not really.

I like the emblem system more because this style is very exploitable. Slugging would become the ultimate strategy, since you'd only have to down survivors the once. As long as the survivor dies, then it would count. People also hate Ebony Moris enough as is, and this will just increase their rate of usage.

Pipping or ranking has nothing to do with how many kills you get.

if you hook everyone twice, end chases quickly and also pressure the gens so that gens arent done withing the first 5 minute and everyone escapes you still get your black pip and even 1 pip.

i let survivors escape a lot when i dominate the game and i get in most matches atleast 1 pip.

well if you get 2 kills but they die after 1 hook and you end the game with 2 hooks and 2 kills obviously you wont pip.

the emblem system looks how well you play and not how many kills you get.

So you never understood the difference in killing and ranking?

Killing = playing tombstone myers and 4k depipping

Pipping = playing legion and getting a pip with 1 kill

Simply put, because there's more to pips than just the end result. There's a big difference between someone who struggles all match and just barely gets two kills in the end game and someone who does really well, has short chases and gets 10 hooks.

I'm pretty sure i've gotten 9-10 hook black pip games as deathslinger at red ranks. And actually scoffed at the endgame when it didn't give me a pip.

Meanwhile, you can still just run around spamming stabs as legion and pip almost no matter what you do.
