Can we try and stay positive?
I get it, I get it. Alot of bugs made it through this time, but can we try and stay positive.
We are all already in a dreadful situation stuck at home, not being able to go out and see our family, friends and other close ones.
Spreading hate on the forums, whether it be about the most recent patch or about how one perk or killer is to strong is getting really irritating, and yet people continue like nothing else is happening. I understand if it's constructive criticism, but that seems to have disappeared.
You have to remember, even though there are bugs, the developers are in the same situation as us. Stuck at home, worrying about too much things, and because not everyone is together, they can't be as efficient. Cut them some slack.
Please, for me, for the developers, mods and trusted members, or if you can't do it for me or them, do it for yourself. We don't need toxicity at this time in the situation we are all in at the moment causing anarchy. We need positivity more than ever.

I agree that criticism should be more constructive. If you see a problem, propose a solution. If you dislike something, explain why. Keep your responses thoughtful and keep your mind open.

I would normally agree with this, but if you know the history of this game, and the situation with *every single update* they release, you have to forgive people for just being fed up with updates being half-assed like this. You would have a point if they didn't release half-assed updates so freaking always. Plain and simple.

haha
NO.

Usually I'm frustrated too, I get that people are, it's natural for humans to be frustrated after the same results time and time again, but we need to give them some respect this time. They could've cancelled it because everyones at home, which includes things like the archives, but instead the worked on it. They're working hard for us despite the limitations.

Bugs aren't a concern for me unless they make the game literally unplayable, so I don't see what everyone is complaining about.
MY issues with trying to maintain a positive attitude lately are all community-based issues. Between campers, tunnellers and inept teammates it's kinda hard to have a look at any problems with the core game. And while campers and tunnellers are becoming more and more rare for me, they're still an issue.

Exactly. The amount of posts I've seen from both sides without any evidence, and clearly meant to be toxic, is getting quite annoying...

Well atleast you're trying, that's the best you can do. The problem is the people who don't want to try.

To get respect, you need to give respect. Every time the devs release a half-assed update like this, it's like a slap in the community's face. They clearly have no regard or respect for us if they are so willing to do this with literally every update. Just because the world is in shambles right now doesn't change that. The update would have been in the same state had the world been in a normal state.

To me they've gained my respect over the years. They've lost some countless times, and yet I stick to the game. I can't hate on something I love.

I get where you're coming from, but it's often the things we love that we hate the most. I wouldn't hate how they bugged Billy if they didn't create this character I love in this game I love in the first place. If we hate the mistakes, we learn to love the gems all the more.

You know, the devs can't make sure that the game is going to work perfectly on Every Single PC that this game is installed on.... nor can they know about the bugs that will appear after the patch is released.... that's why they wait for feedback from the community on the bugs that appear so they can fix them. Saying that they don't try on their updates just because there are bugs is ridiculous. I for one really enjoy the new update apart from the bugs, especially being able to vault without snapping back to the window, and the Temple is much more balanced now.
Also, I would like to say, they don't OWE you a * Fantastic * game experience, so don't be an entitled gamer.... just play a different game while you wait for the patch to be bugfixed. You're not being held at gunpoint to play DbD after a patch on day 1.... and expecting the game to be Perfect and Bug Free right after a patch is silly.

Yeah lets be positive about all those Bugs and ignore feedback. Hell no. They have to understand that how they do their Updates its not good in any way. There is nothing to justify this mess (again). But hey, luckily we got a useless PTB and Q&A.

I try to stay positive but I understand where everyone is coming from because I'm in the same boat. It gets stale when every patch brings another handful of problems. I am thankful they brought the update out given the circumstances right now, and that is why I haven't made a thread complaining to add to the problem. I just play the game less until they fix it. But I agree that the least people could do is give some constructive criticism

First time?

When one spends money on an MSRP for a game, money for DLCs, money for a battlepass, money for cosmetics, you bet your ass that studio owes a fantastic gaming experience. It's called basic business. You charge the money, you put out a proper product. Not these half-assed, bug-ridden patches one update after the next.
Entitled gamer? Not hardly. Not once a gamer's money comes into play. The fact that people even view that as entitled is what's wrong with the game industry today, and why studios like Behavior, Bethesda, EA, and others can get away with the bullshit that they do.

i dont know what you guys are talking about, look we got flying feng now; 16GB for it but it's worth it yeah

You're forgetting this is the kind of community to act like a kid on mic in call of duty when they get to the end game chat.

Umm.... last time I checked, BHVR didn't reach into your wallet, take out your card and buy the DLCs and cosmetics. YOU made the choice to spend extra money on the game. And to top it off, you can earn everything that isn't cosmetic, e.g. killers, survivors and perks, through playing the game normally. Any money that you spend besides the base price of the game is of your own volition and does not entitle you to any more than if you had only bought the game itself and nothing more. Besides that, DbD is only $20.... and is frequently on sale for $8.... honestly, they do pretty well by this game for it's price being so low.
Only in the gaming world do people have hissy fits of this nature--being upset when something isn't suited perfectly to their tastes. When you go to the store and buy something, then decide that you don't like or want it, you return it. When you go to the restaurant and decide that you don't like their food, you don't go back (and if the food was ACTUALLY bad rather than simply not suited to your tastes, you write a review). When a gamer decides that they don't like a game, some simply return it or don't play it, yes.... but it seems that many instead whine and complain on forums and reddit threads about how "it's not the way I want it" and "these devs are lazy and don't care", instead of shelving it for the time being and waiting for it to get fixed/waiting for content that you prefer to be added.
I am all for constructive criticism and calling out developers who are ACTUALLY scummy and trying to get over on their customers (I've written some negative reviews for constructive purposes), but seeing people like you make the claim that they are "intentionally" putting out buggy patches is just ridiculous. Like I said in my first post, it is common for new updates and patches to have issues, because they cannot predict how the game will behave on the tens of thousands of PCs that are out there, so they release the update and wait for feedback on new bugs.
I would just like to remind you that, thankfully, we live in a society where we can speak with our wallets (and in the case of gamers, our playtime AND our wallets). If you don't like what a company is doing, don't support them (look at the direction that Epic Games (their store in particular) is heading due to many people disagreeing with them as a company and refusing to support them in any way). Or, instead of throwing tantrums, try assisting the developers in fixing the patch by reporting any bugs that you find.

I'm just going to cover one thing, since you either can't read or are attempting to put words into my mouth to make a point on your end.
I stated, and I quote: "You charge the money, you put out a proper product. Not these half-assed, bug-ridden patches one update after the next."
I, at no time, said the devs were intentionally putting out buggy patches. I just as well assume they are incapable of running a title of this berth and call it a day. That they either aren't knowledgeable enough, not trained enough, or whatever the excuse might be. Maybe they don't have a proper Q.A. team. Maybe the Q.A. team is inept. Or maybe the shot callers should simply no longer be in charge of the game. Because the fact of the matter is: patch after patch, they are bug-ridden messes.
And I've already spoken with my wallet. I have yet to purchase a Rift. I haven't bought a cosmetic in over a year. I refunded Stranger Things within the allotted time (due to matchmaker being broken even back when that DLC released along with the associated free weekend) and haven't bought a single DbD item since.
Furthermore, due to this patch, and especially due to forced AA, I've uninstalled today. I just forgot to logout of the forums, which I cam here to remedy and saw notifications. But I'm done, so I won't be back for further debate.

Agreed. I started playing constantly around Clowns release, and I've never seen an update come out that didn't have one major bug in it.

Bye bye. More fun for the rest of us.
