how exactly does insidious work ? if I have insidious level 3 if I move slightly does it get completely deactivated until I stand still for a few seconds again ? if I had insidious activated could I still use ghostface's crouch lean ability to build up the 1 hit meter ? if I stay crouched after insidious builds up but move would insidious deactivate ?

also can ghostface detect people through walls like legion ? I noticed the orange hexagon through a wall when I was playing as ghostface ?

also how exactly does stalking work ? do I have to crouch lean and wait until my meter builds up ? can I stalk standing up like myers ?

If you move slightly from your spot, it deactivates. Crouching isn't technically "moving", so insidious wouldn't pick that up when you're hiding with it. If you want my full honestly, never use insidious for anyone besides an insta-down Killer... If you use it on Ghostface than that's a wasted perk slot in my opinion. Why? Because Ghostface can already suppress his Terror Radius down to 0 AND move freely while doing so, there's no reason to use Insidious on anyone like Ghostface, Michael Myers, The Wraith, The Pig, or anyone with stealth powers in-general.

Insidious is mainly used as a means to camp something. Whether that be a basement, a specific spot, etc. This isn't to diss anyone for using it either, the perk literally can't be used outside of standing in one spot BECAUSE of how the perk works. If you move slightly while insidious is active, than the perk deactivates. This is why you should only use it on a Killer with an insta-down power/someone with a power that can keep people injured. It's a lot more effective to one-hit down someone around a corner when they weren't expecting it. While Ghostface CAN do this as well with his power, he can still suppress his Terror Radius down to 0 and get better results as well.

Simple put, Why is Ghostfaces power better than using insidious? Because he can move freely while Nightshroud is active, with insidious you can't. If you use insidious on Ghostface than it kind of defeats the purpose of the main gimmick of his power, at least in my opinion it does anyways.

"Can Ghostface detect Survivors through walls like Legion?" No, what you saw was the same notification that Legion gets when he's in his Feral Frenzy chain-stab mode. This notification is different for Ghostface though, instead of activating when you hit someone in his power, the notification activates when someone knocks you out of your Nightshroud ability. The "Orange Hexagon" or "Red Spider-Web" as I like to call it is just notifying you of where that Survivor is who knocked you out of Nightshroud. A Survivor can knock you out of your power by looking in you general direction for a small period of time, they can even do this around objects, but the mechanics for this are still somewhat janky.

Stalking works like this, you can go into Nightshroud by pressing M2 and than stalk by either crouching and leaning around a corner, standing up and leaning around a corner, or crouch/standing up in the open while holding M2. You wait until their meter is fully charged and than they're marked for a one hit down. You can actually stop at 99% and than mark them later on for a sneaky insta-down as well, only you see the meter so it's just guess work for them to figure out if they're 99'ed or not.

If you have any other questions about this comment than don't be afraid to ask.

in relation to this , how long does the hexagon stay on the survivor who knocked you out of nightshroud , last time I think it was a few seconds

can I build up the meter on one survivor to something like 90 percent and stop if I don't wana 1 hit down them and then finish stalking another survivor , finish the last 10 percent of the meter/wheel and 1 hit down the second survivor I decide to stalk/1hit down ?

    thanks

It's only a few seconds yes, I don't know exactly how many seconds but I believe it's about 3 or 4, 5 tops. The DBD Wiki doesn't really clarify the exact time, but it's only a few seconds.

Also yes, you can stalk someone to 90% and than stalk someone else if you want to. Just be aware that both of those Survivors might want to break you out of Nightshroud to prevent this, so hiding behind objects is the best way to prevent this. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Most of the time it does, but the detection system is still a bit janky. Also, if you stalk around corners you actually charge the meter a lot quicker than you would by stalking them normally. By normally, I mean out in the open/not around a corner. It's an interesting mechanic which you should take full advantage of when you can.

You can even stalk someone around a corner mid-chase, you just need to be precise about it when you're attempting to hold M2 around a corner. Sometimes it works, sometimes it requires you to play around with it a bit before you can do it. That doesn't mean the corner stalking mechanic is also janky, it just means that certain objects have their own criteria before the "lean stalk" option shows up. It mostly depends on the object itself and how it's shaped.

so nightshroud is not permanent like evil within with myers ? if not , are there any add-ons that can make nightshroud not be broken by survivors ?

I also had a question about myers . when you start the match , there is a myst on the edges of your screen . does that mean you are undetectable ? I noticed the myst dicipated after I hooked a survivor a second time .

No, Nightshroud isn't permanent and needs to be recharged every time you're broken out of it OR every time you swing your weapon with the M1 basic attack. You can use try using "Victims Detailed Routine" or Drivers License to decrease the detection range for someone to reveal you in Nightshroud, but those are the only two add-ons that does this... And they're Very Rare add-ons as well.

"Marked Map" just increases the "Killer Instinct" notification that pops up when someone reveals you, for clarification the Killer Instinct notification is the "Orange Hexagon" or "Spider-Web Notification" that we talked about above.

If you're looking for an add-on that stops Survivors from breaking Ghostface out of Nightshroud than there's unfortunately no such add-on for you to use. You can either go with the default detection range, use one of the two add-ons above, or use both if you really want to. But to be honest, I wouldn't use anything other than Charge speed add-ons on the almighty power recovery speed add-ons like Chewed Pen, debatable the best Ghostface add-on.

As for Michael Myers and the misty borders on your screen, that's indeed support to indicate that you're in the "undetectable status effect". Michael Myers and Tier l was recently buffed with the undetectable status effect at Tier l, making his Terror Radius go from 6 at Tier l to 0. This isn't a huge change for most Myers players, since most of them use Monitor & Abuse which already reduced their Terror Radius at Tier l to 0. But it wasn't really about his Terror Radius, it was added to counter aura reading perks from revealing your aura while this status effect is active.

what do you mean tier one , is that evil within level 1 ( so evil within not leveled up to 2 ) ?

also are there any add-ons for ghostface that make me marking a survivor for a 1 hit down progress faster and if yes what are they ?

and can I mark a survivor while nightshroud is active ?
