Hello, i play this game and read a post on forum and i really need ask anybody who know answer... We have rank based matchamking so, how it work if you have 2 guys in SWF, one is super pro RED rank and his potato friend just install game now have rank 16. How matchmaking system is finding killer for game with so wide ranks??? When i play killer in yellow rank i have to face red ranks cause their friend was in my rank poll.
Another question is if we get new matchmaking system based only on SKILL, how this new system will find solution for situation i described before???
Dev or any experience player tell me, cause i still cant find solution. Thx boys.

Swf matchmaking uses the highest rank in the group. If a rank 1 and rank 20 queue up, they're looking for rank 1s.

I think one of the devs confirmed that the matchmaking system prioritizes speed over fairness atm.

Because matchmaking is FUBAR. They are trying to balance between perceived skill level (rank) and wait times. Just take it as a learning experience.

It is kinda bad but why if not red killer, why not purple, why not green, why yellow??

There probably aren't that many yellow rank survivors for you to face in a timely manner. Most survivors are at red or purple ranks or playing with their friends who are. A lot of red rank survivors + few red rank killers = skewed queues and mismatched ranks.

It sucks. I know. They are looking at changing matchmaking. That being said, if you play enough you will get better. Killer is a lesson in patience and humility.
Im a green killer, highest i ever got was 2 games in rank 8. I've gotten a ton of matches against red ranks lately. And to my surprise i am starting to be able to deal with them better. At the same time, last game i played i got run around by a rank 15 David with no perks. Granted it was at shack with a jungle gym on one side and a t l wall on the other. I should have given up but I threw the game because i focused on him. Never got him either.
Point is, you cant control matchmaking and many times rank means absolutely nothing. Just try to focus on a killer you like. Try out different perks. Learn your basics. Play survivor too. Learning how to play both sides leads to learning more about what to do in certain situations depending on role.

Ty for your answer, but i dont need tips to play ( no arogant) i was most likely looking for answer about system and how new one will fix huge difference in ranks ( skill)

The new system will try to distribute players more evenly across levels of skill. This will help players find matches faster and with players of their skill level. How exactly they will go about doing this however, is a complete mystery. What we do know is that they will hide the system in order to prevent players from abusing it and boosting themselves.
