Rift Question

Are we able to buy items from the rift without having to buy the whole rift? I am not interested in all of the items in the rift but also don't want to spend $10 on the things I don't want. How much would the individual items be?

You'll only be able to get specific items from that rift when it closes and becomes public in the store. If you're only interested in specific items on the rift, than you'll have to get the other items as well unfortunately.

There's no way to get specific items from that rift at this time, you'll have to level through it to get what you want. Also if you're talking about the premium rift pass, than you'll have to buy it in order to get any of the items from that pass. Unless of course you want to wait 6 months or a year for it to be non-exclusive...

You might be asking "Why would it take 6 months to a year to have specific rift items come into the store?" Well, because that's the devs plan to keep some of these items exclusive after that specific rift closes. We still haven't gotten the rift items from the first rift in the store yet, and it hasn't been confirmed if some of those items will stay exclusive or not.

Also one more thing, if you spend 10$ for the rift pass than you'll get all your Auric Cells back after completing the entire rift. You won't get more than 1000 Auric Cells after hitting Tier 70, but you will get 1000 Auric Cells again to use on skins or another rift pass. So if you're consistent with it, than you can constantly re-use that 10$ forever.

Here's where the "exclusivity time-frame for rift items" was mentioned (starts at 32:55 ends at 33:14)

This is where the the "6 months to a year" exclusivity for rift items was talked about. This isn't the first place it was brought up, but it was talked about more in this dev stream. So if you want specific rift items only, than you'll have to wait for that specific rift to close, than wait for those items to become public in the store later on.

So it's just easier to burn through the entire rift to get what you want and maybe pay for the rift pass, rather than waiting a long time to get specific items.

Thanks for clearing that up for me.
