I think this is how we should be rewarded by ranks...
So you've probably seen the same thing in a few games to more you progress the more things you get to unlock other things right, I guess the same but unlocking the same old...
So technically depending by your coloured rank red, purple, green, brown or grey you get a boost from your maximum of a certain amount of bloodpoints and the amount you can keep...
So for example
Grey ranks - Maximum Bloodpoint: 32,000
Bloodpoints limit - 1,000,000
Brown Ranks - Maximum Bloodpoints: 40,000
Bloodpoints limit - 1,200,000
Green Ranks - Maximum Bloodpoints per Game - 50,000
Bloodpoints limit - 1,400,000
Purple Ranks - Maximum Bloodpoints Per Game - 56,000
Bloodpoints limit - 1,700,000
Red Ranks - Maximum Bloodpoints Per Game - 64,000
Bloodpoints limit - 2,000,000
Doing this would make getting up ranks somewhat rewarding, What do you guys think?

While I agree with the general idea of rank rewards (after the MMR system is introduced so ranks are no longer used for matchmaking), I think that bloodpoint rewards would not be the way to go. The vast majority of players in yellow or grey ranks are there because they're new to the game. Rewarding higher-ranked players with extra bloodpoints, although it wouldn't affect the new players' experience on a practical level, means that newer players earn proportionally less, which is more alienating for them. The game is already unfriendly enough to new players as it is, so making it increasingly so isn't really a direction that I would personally like to see it go. Personally, I would prefer rank rewards to take the form of something like cosmetic items or shards that doesn't affect the actual gameplay.

I would like shards instead of bp, we have archives, you can get easily bp by doing missions, and shards are too grindy to get.

I think he's just talking about raising the bps cap. Not really increasing how much you earn, just how much you can earn. Personally, though, I think it should just add a multiplier to how many shards you earn.

I did understand that, but nonetheless the practical consequence is that people at higher ranks end up earning more - that's the point of raising the cap. So regardless, it would still be alienating for lower ranked players.

Or, it would incentivize people to play more and get better. It would me

What happens if you have 1,900,000 BP on the day before rank reset, then forget to use 900,000 BP?

Honestly since the ranks grant no real reward, instead of shoving it in your face all the time. Hide all the ranks, even from the player who has the rank and change the scoreboard to be a rating system from D to S. The game will feel a lot more rewarding if you were not constantly worring about if a number was red or green.

It might do both. The insane grind we have now might also incentivise new players to keep playing and try their hardest to unlock things, but that doesn't mean it's good or healthy. I didn't say it would stop them playing the game, it just wouldn't feel good or welcoming. In either case, I still wouldn't be in support of it because I think the game should be trying to become more friendly towards new players, not less.

I would prefer shards because bp affect gameplay too much

Rank rewards would be great, but increasing BP rewards across the board would be better since it would make the game more accessible to newer players; right now, the grind is a big barrier to new players.
I do think shards, or bonus BP daily (or some regular interval if you play regularly enough at a given rank) could be great...once the MMR system is in place, and they find a way to make rank actually meaningful.

It would work the same way as when save files would get corrupted and Devs would compensate you by giving you millions of BP. You keep whatever BP you have, but you cant earn more until you spend them down to less than 1m.

Well, that is why they nerfed ruin. The best value it granted was against new players who didn't know what was happening. Honestly, when they added totems, they should have put them in the tutorial, so new players would at least know about them.
