A big thank you...
I'm still a fairly new player of DbD, but I have played enough games to get a somewhat 'general' idea of both sides, though i lean heavily on the survivor side because I am absolutely pants at playing killer. I've already looked at myself square in the mirror with narrowed eyes and growled at myself to "Git gud!" so please don't bother if that's your reply to this thread, that's not what this is about.
I don't really have to point out the rampant toxicity in game and on forums, so instead i would like to say thank you.
Thank you to the killers who give me a damn good run for my money and don't sit practically in my face while swiping at me ineffectually with their weapon, and thank you to the survivors who don't rush a clearly camped hook because...omg, points! It's a viscous circle really, and i can't blame a killer who ends up camping because he damn well knows people are going to steamroll in for those few extra points.
Thank you to the teams that actually leave my ass swinging to get a generator done, or to not risk getting themselves hit or me double hooked. I can't help but feel a little exasperated when i see three yellow blobs all homing in on me at once, the very second i get hooked. It may be strange or perhaps a little naive, but if I'm being camped i'd rather stay alive on that hook for as long as i can keep the killer distracted in order for you to get your gens.
(I even try the super secret signal to try and let people know I'm being camped and to move along, but i think all that results in is the killer laughing his evil butt off)
Thank you to the people that stay on even when one, or even two people DC. Yeah its not likely that we'll win, but by god it feels like an achievement on the rare occasions that you do!
Thank you to the wonderful people who can win with grace and not sit there teabagging like a twelve year old that really needs to pee. I'll probably get hate for this, but quite frankly if you are juvenile to actually sit at the exit and teabag....well I'm sorry sweetie but you likely don't have the equipment to make such a gesture anywhere near effective.
Thank you to the killers and survivors alike who take the time to send a short but sweet message congratulating their team or even the other side.
I appreciate you all, and it's this type of players that will keep me suffering through a hundred games of bad sportsmanship and childish behaviour.
You are all legends.
I shan't say i wish we could all hold hands and bake cakes with rainbows, but if anybody else has something they really appreciate from either side then please feel free to say it now. The negativity won't disappear, but it can't hurt to think on the things you actually like about this game and its players.
Disclaimer: It's sad that I feel I need to do this in advance, but the above is based upon opinion. That does not mean i am right and you are wrong, but merely that i have a personal preference. You are free to disagree, but abusive replies will be met with a quiet sort of contempt over a cup of tea and a raised brow.

It's nice to have a post like this once in a while.
Really refreshing from all the salt.

I would like to say thank you to the Freddy who thought I was in the dream world when I wasn't and followed me for the entire match trying over and over again to hit me.
Finally I knew what it must be like to be a leet looper.

Salt, toxic, buffs, nerfs, fps or bugs, the reason we even care is because we love this game and/or are addicted. If nobody cared this forum would be dead.
This is a good thread, bevause it gives a break in all the others. If campers feel like you are dead wrong, or those champions in sandbagging do too, who cares? The groups that makes you feel like you just had one hell of a match, even if you die or not, 4k or 2k, that is why we keep playing over and over.
And by the way, camping would be less of a tactic if people stopped trying to earn points and actually kept doing objects. It would not be so rewarding.

Myself and a huntress played chase around the map for about 15 minutes before she finally caught me, then laboriously carried me over to the hatch. Thank you mystery huntress, i regret hitting the 'spend bloodpoints' button on automatic before sending you a 'great game'

In the early games i got hugely annoyed with campers. Then i stopped and looked at what my team mates were doing even as i was screaming "HE'S RIGHT BLOODY THERE...GO DO A GEN!!!"

@SoylentPixie good post. I will say Thank you for the Summer Event it really breaks up the monotony of the game. Both sides needing to focus on a secondary objective. These events would be nice every quarter.
