Anyone noticing as killer that red ranks are playing like non red ranks?

This is just what I keep experiencing. I'm usually rank 2 killer, and I'm getting survivors almost every game that don't even know how to loop a pallet and try to hide behind stuff when i clearly see them. One in a while there will be someone who actually plays decent but that's rare. Anyone else getting this as killer?

Been playing a lot the past days and noticed it on both sides. There are tons of new red rank killers and red rank survivors that have only a few days of playtime and thus perform and (psychologically) act like yellow ranks pretty often.

Since it's pretty easy to pip on both sides people fly to red ranks in no time resulting in... Kinda awkward games to say the least.

Ranks really mean very little due to how easy it is to rank up on both sides.

To be fair, that does happen.

Every now and then, but never ALL the time.

Anyone who says they keep getting SWF "death squad" teams is just a bad killer in reality. If you really want to test your mettle as a Killer, always look forward to games with Object of Obsession. They tend to test your skills the most as a killer.

Yeah, I’ve been noticing a lot more inexperienced killers at red ranks lately too. I usually expect boosted survivors but not killers.

Pipping is easy, depipping is uncommon, and rank reset only drops you down to purple now so the red ranks are filled with enthusiastically-playing but inexperienced players.

I'm one that actually does get them a lot of the time. I lurk around rank 5 and get what tru3 calls the top .05 percent. All meta perks, 1500 hours minimum, optimal looping, optimal gens, etc. I think it's the region I play on. When I get survivors from Canada, usual win, when I get them from Chile, I lose.

To be fair 1500 isn’t “that much.” Also, people who think they get SWF death squads every game tend to be making excuses Without realizing there’s something wrong with their own play

That's why I said minimum. Most I've seen was 9100 hours. It's not my gameplay, I mindgame, hide my red light, pressure gens, don't chase too long, and use strong perks. I can size up the team I'm playing after the first chase.

I've had games where the game feels like I'm going against team potato. I'm confused to see it's all red rank survivors. I feel awful when it turns out i just went up against a team of rank 20's 😂😂😂😂 and noone made it out alive

Probably because they're boosted by their SWF. Had a SWF last night where they were complete potato powered on their own, but as a SWF, it make it frustrating. And they were rank 2!

SWF on comms is a huge boost, anyone who claims otherwise is lying to themselves. There’s nothing wrong with doing it, it’s in the game after all, but at least admit it’s an advantage.

The other thing is one really really good looper can carry even a solo team if the killer doesn’t give up the chase quickly enough. Even the worst survivors can hold M1 for two minutes if not pressured.

I have been noticing it as a surv for months now. I die like 20+ SoloQ games before I escape one cause no one does gens and everyone goes down in 20 secs. And I escape it by hatch/killer closed hatch so i gotta open a gate.

Yes you get these boosted survivors from time to time.

I've also run across many a boosted killer too. They play like a rank 15, lose you very easily, don't understand they need to break the pallet, and are extremely indecisive. At the end game screen they are like rank 2 and I'm like "how?!?"

I've found a similar thing. I am actually finding it easier to go against reds that greens, and I'm currently a green rank killer! It feels like green ranks are actually doing the objective where as reds are trying to get chased be my ........ me.............. all................... game.

Damn. I just figured it out.

Reds are trying to get emblems, so getting chases and not doing generators that quickly. As a Pig main, I capitalise on that greatly, aince they're off getting the RBT's off. Greens don't care as much and are just doing the objective. Greens are harder to verse because they are doing the objective more.

    Same applies to killers.

Survivor is too easy and people rank up fast. I'm garbage as survivor at chases and almost hit red ranks last month. A lot of players get boosted by gen speed

Well, maybe for some. I'm not exactly fantastic at a chase, but I ran around a baby Legion (My Rank 6 vs. their Rank 15 and ZERO use of FF) and how many generators got done? Zero. One after I went off and healed. I've had WHOLE GAMES go quicker than that chase sequence!

Survivor's emblems are all intertwined, though. Rescue of a hook and heal them (Benevolence), so that they can then help you on a generator (gatekeeper) or use them as a distraction/distract the killer yourself so the gen gets done (Evader/Gatekeeper distraction bonus) and Silver Survival is basically guaranteed unless the killer hardcore camps/tunnels or first hook suicide.

Killer has to balance their emblems, between protecting generators, chases, damage, hooks and there are playstyles that do just manage everything, but there are some killers who do actually struggle greatly with this. Myers is a great example of this, with his limited mobility and built in instant-down. Harder to patrol generators, and instant-downs hurt Chaser.

I agree that Survivors are easier to rank up with, but it's by no means an easy game mode.
