So Surge and PGTW synergy doesn't work anymore?

It's been a while since I tried that perk combo, but back then when you had a PGTW ready and surge triggered, it used to consume the PGTW buff to regress a gen without having to kick it. When did they change this?

Surge regresses gens by itself. PGTW would just be wasted.

PGTW instant regresses by 25% in addition to the normal regression starting, so it would be a huge synergy actually.
That said, it might be better that it doesn't, as at least when using it manually you can choose which gen to use it on. Having it be auto would be nice, but what if it targets a gen that is only like 5% started?

3.7.0 patch directly addressed it and said it was fixed. Did this happen recently?
