How should we be using the gorgon's portals?

just got the killer, getting the hang of shred. but portals seem to be annoying to use especially when tey have object and they'll just see my aura dissappear.

    I personally found success hiding them in tall grass a little bit away from the generator so they don't see/hear you. Place them near a structure that hides the portal's sound and visuals. You could also just slap them on gens and use them as trackers for whos on a gen while holding shred.

    Edit: Also if they're no gens or gates in the area DON'T place a portal. It's a waste as you won't need to go there if there are no objective im the area.

    Don't place them too close to gens even if they're hidden. When a portal has been activated, survivors not only can see them, but they can hear them as well. Also, don't invest too much time at the beginning trying to set up a network. Just put down a couple of portals and set the others as you go.
