How the Demogorgon's power work?
He place portals, he must travel for activate it and made it yellow, and then when he use the mouse2 skill he will hear the survivors heartbeat if they are 4 metres around the portal and the portal is yellow. There are 6 portals without addons and Demo can't remove they, only survivors can if it was activate, and if survivors close all the portals he can't place more.
Is so or I'm wrong with something?
Btw is he a good killer? his shred skill is useful?

That is exactly how his portals work yes. And he is a great killer imo, and his shred is the best part about him. It's pretty self-explanatory what it does, and once you understand where to use it, it's really damn strong because the hitbox is deceptively wide. You can basically say ######### you to killer shack, 4 lanes and a couple of other long loops.

I've been playing him a ton. I used to think he was weak but that was mainly because I didn't understand how to play as him, and I thought his setup time took way too long. God, was I wrong.
His activated portals can really help with defend crucial generators, hex totems or even placed in surprise locations survivors aren't aware of. I find myself keeping a 3-gen every single time I play Demogorgon, because he is amazing at camping a 3-gen.
His shred is also amazing at keeping STBFL stacks. You basically can just say "F U" to the Obsession taking away your stacks while using the shred. It's glorious.

Also when you travel via portal you are stealthed for like 2 seconds. It's great for placing one near a gen you think they are working on, then traveling there to get the drop on them.

He is good, not the best but he can do the job.
The portals work like you mentioned, one thing to note is when you exit a portal you lose your tr for 2 seconds (it's useless for the most part because he is naturally so loud but it's neat)
Shred is a great move however it does not count as a normal hit. This means perks that require a basic attack won't work with shred (such as Sloppy Butcher). This also means Save the Best for Last won't lose stocks when you shred the obsession, so you can keep 8 tokens the entire game and an 8 tokens m1 into shred is a great combo.
