random maps / no map offerings......
lately I've gotten the same map 2-3 times in a row on killer and survivor side increasingly often and I wonder why that happens? I'd love it if whenever you got a specific map, that map would have a reduced chance of spawning until every other map was cycled through, and then it'd all reset and start over.
obviously since 5 people are playing the game including killer that might mean tracking 5 different % chances since everyone might've just been on a different map beforehand, but still. as it stands right now my friends and i are getting repeat maps very frequently, there are some maps I don't see at all unless I bring an offering.
idk, I just wish there was more of a guaranteed variety. it can be exhausting playing the same map again and again when there are so many pretty maps I wanna see. I play enough that if I used a map offering every round I'd quickly run out and be stuck with rng. have yall encountered this problem or come up with any unique solutions?

I have not had a same map happen in a row for weeks now personally. Just bad luck I think.

For all we know, that's how map rotation works and you just happened to be in a bunch of lobbies that had that specific map as the next in line, collectively speaking.
That being said, there's thirty-odd maps. You can easily block the last map each person played just played in from the next lobby. It's only 5 maps. Sure, people would then get lineups like we had back when New Lery's got released, but still. It would be something.

I'd love to know the internal mechanics behind map rng, like if it genuinely is just bad luck.. I'd totally buy that cuz I'm unlucky as ######### but y'know.
oh you're absolutely right about that! that'd be way preferrable to leaving it up to pure chance like I sort of have to assume it is right now. even if I end up getting more maps I don't necessarily love playing on, I'd rather know there's a strong possibility I'll just have to suffer for one round and then next round I'll end up somewhere else.

Just happens every once in a while. Got the Game twice in a row on Tuesday and also got Lerys 2 out of 3 games which was weird.

i feel like it happens often and especially late at night. Day games have somewhat random feel to the maps. But late at night into the mornings feel like I get the same maps from 2-3 realms and it burns you out real quick.

ohhh okay this could be the reason my 'luck' is so bad?? because I normally play in the dead of night and I get this happening all the time. I wonder why that would make a difference though, so strange.

Maybe at night when you get paired with someone just getting on their first game the map we just played getsa little more likely. Since going off everyone’s “luck” could discourage the player that’s just starting their rounds.
