pig isnt really classic, they are from 2004, you dont even get a good glimpse of them until later in the series and its not even amanda, you see hoffmans pig actually doing stuff more.
the most iconic slashers are myers, ghostface, freddy, leatherface and jason, and you could kinda argue about chucky. candyman is popular and classic yes but not really iconic as they are, plus jason has gotten requested so much and devs openly said that they wanted jason in the game. but theres all the legal stuff which would make candyman more reasonable to add in, if there were no legal battles it would definitely be jason for chapter 16. though dont get me wrong i would love both in dbd especially if they got tony like bruce (but get his face right like steve, not all deformed like nancy)

That tweet is too on the nose. I don't think he would say that if it was Candyman. Also I don't think Candyman is a strong enough license to draw people in. I'm expecting someone bigger tbh like Pennywise or Alien.

Well, the last time (that I remember) that they tried to tweet out a hint, it had to do with a cup or some ######### like that, which nobody caught. So maybe it's on the nose on purpose, to make sure people get it this time. However, you didn't answer the second question: how would Pennywise fit with that tweet?

Pennywise wouldn't fit the tweet either. The tweet is a red herring I think. Pennywise is the chapter the developers wanted for a long time and I think it's a license that everyone knows.
I remember around the Stranger Things chapter the team followed then unfollowed Stephen King which seemed like a red herring. However from ScottJund we know they work on at least 3 killers at once. So since then we've had Oni, then Deathslinger, so now I think it would be the right time that Pennywise would be ready.
The only thing that makes me think Candyman is the fact a new movie was set to release.

I think Pennywise will be the shape shifting killer that people have wanted for a long time. Probably another ability with that but we'll see.

Year 3 anniversary was the number "3" and it was looking from Scream and we got ghostface. In the dbd data people have seen the new killer cost 500 auric cells. Licenced Killers never cost iridescent coins. So im 100% sure thats Candyman

Also I don't think it can be Alien. They arent evil. They are just animals living by there natural life cycle. I haven't watched the movies in awhile though...maybe I'm forgetting something?

It's more about actually creating the killer. They usually reuse old models so having to create a new one is the big problem.

Everyone talking about Jason, Pennywise, and Candyman but I see nobody talking about how Alien is one of the most iconic horror films of all time and with the addition of the Demogorgon, non-human killers and sci-fi maps are now a possibility.
If they wanted to do something really huge for 4 years, a Nostromo map, Ridley as survivor, and Xenomorph as killer wouldn't be too bad. It'd be the first zone in the game that isn't actually on earth.

I'm more just hurting for A Quiet Place II. I loved the first one and I'm a little bummed they didn't take the D+ route and either set up a service or bring it out to rent immediately, then post it later in theaters when the quarantine is lifted.
I realize they probably think they'll lose revenue by posting it online, but in reality most people who want to see it will probably watch it twice, because a movie theater experience is just not something you can replicate at home without a lot of money and disturbing all your neighbors in the process.
