Leatherface Chainsaw bug

After using my chainsaw as Leatherface, the motor stays running, and chain keeps spinning, until I tap the (M2/R2). It is loud, very annoying, and for example if I use it to saw a pallet in half to catch up to a survivor quicker, I either have to leave it running, or waste roughly 1 -2 seconds to kill the engine. I thought it was just me, until I was reading a thread today where a user said they played against a Leatherface, who's chainsaw was running the whole match, and also thought it was highly annoying. This happens every match as Leatherface since the most recent update. I play on PC.
