The essence of DBD

What's one way dbd could punish these behaviours? I mean, it is so ######### ridiculous to play like this, and unfair to everyone.

I was actually thinking about this a bit today.

Why not have it so that whenever the killer is within whatever range of the hooked survivor for however long without another survivor being nearby gen speed is increased and hook time slowed down enough that it gives the other survivors time to finish all the gens so 3 can escape instead of the normal 2 or in most cases none as everyone always tries to unhooked the facecamped person and fails. Having faster gen speeds when someone is getting facecamped would incentivize the do gens and get out strategy you should use and I think it'd even work with randoms sometimes.

Killers that facecamp at endgame or so aren't affected as they already know the game is over and it'd only really hurt the people pictured above that facecamp super early. They obviously have no interest in chasing, interacting or even playing with others so why not just let the game be over with quicker so they can go stare at a single person next game.

Camping the survivor can sometimes be a proper strat but when you do it like the killer above is doing, it's one of the most boring things you can do in game and chances are all they're after is the salt after the game. I doubt they even have interest in the match itself.

I actually just had this happen today, and posted the screenshot on another thread:

I feel like these Bubbas rank up to play against red ranked Survivors and then pull this stunt to derank people.... truly sad individuals....
