Why Quentin instead of Nancy Thompson
So my questions is although they didn’t put Nancy for reasons and put Quentin they had many other options for character in the original a nightmare on elm street like John her dad or even Alice who knows but they chose someone from the remake which in my opinion isn’t even the real Freddy Krueger films ?? I just am a bit disappointed it was my first time watching all the nightmare on elm street films each night I would watch a new one and I never saw Quentin and u waited for him to pop up but he never did and Nancy is like the star of the show

Quentin and Freddy came from the 2010 remake.
I believe they chose this movie because it was more focused on horror rather then comedy.

They didn’t get the rights for the original movie.

They didn't choose it, they were forced to nobody understands this apparently. The dev team did not have a choice. It was apparently a "take-it-or-leave-it" situation the rights to old Freddy literally just, don't exist. They were overwritten when the remake was made

Quentin sort of stole the entire movie when he was in a scene. He's simply the most interesting and the smartest in the movie.

Nancy could be too similar to Laurie, character wise. Quentin is a lot more unique, and the game didn't need another final girl
