Stealth is becoming meta
I've noticed recently that aggressive playstyles are disappearing. Hardly anyone runs Decisive, Dead Hard is uncommon, and Iron Will is probably the most used perk I see in my Rank 1 Killer lobbies.
Heck I'm having games where more people have Urban Evasion than Exhaustion Perks. It's physically painful to lose Killer games because it takes 5 minutes to find a Survivor because they're all hiding. They barely touch gens until they're 100% sure they're safe so the games take like 30 minutes.
Moral of the story is that I've now added Urban Evasion to my build because hiding wastes more of the A and S Tier Killers time than actually being in a chase.

Ive noticed people are now splitting up and doing gens too instead of piling on a single gen

I think stealth has always been meta, especially for solo players.
SWF is notoriously built with at least 1 survivor made for distraction.
Did you play alot of SWF?

Stealth was always meta against the A and S tier killers. Pre-nerf nurse pretty much your only option was to hide. Same with pre-nerf spirit. Most of the maps have been nerfed enough and the new killers are so strong in a chase the best bet is to sit in lockers half the game. There's almost nothing you can do when the oni pop's his power on you, unless you have a ton of safe pallets nearby. There's very little to do if you fall asleep and get found by freddy before you can go across the map to your wake-up box.
I disagree with nobody running DS, I see almost 2 DS every lobby, sometimes all the way up to 4 DS. Dead hard is still pretty common, though I see more sprint burst now.
Iron will has always been the best perk in the game in my opinion. I haven't played a single survivor game without iron will in years. It's great for looping, and also great for hiding. Calm spirit I am liking much more now too, since IF and doctor are becoming pretty prevalent. Some of the better killers also pay attention to crows.
There's still a few maps you can offer and bring object of obsession and loop the killer for minutes at a time though. Springwood comes to mind instantly.

I can feel your pain, even though I’m not the best killer, I’ve been seeing more and more lobbies with urban evasion.I Also can’t find Any1 Until they finish a gen, even then urban evasion has given them such a head start and they are not in the direct vicinity of the killer. The thing is that urban Can easily be countered by doctor . But the last thing I wanna see is more doctor if stealth becomes meta. Because doctor is so low skill and you’re able to get soooo much value(not just my experience as killer but me as survivor playing against, over half of these doctors don’t know how to mind game so they instead spam shock therapy in ur face until you have no choice but to run. Not trying to trigger the good doctors)

Hasn't stealth always been useful? Btw, the most commonly used builds aren't the meta. Basement Bubba and Self Care are not meta.

Due to the recent patch this is recommended.
Also I like that survivors are being stealthy. Makes for a really fun game win or lose.

What about stealth game play is fun? I find it tedious as killer. As survivor my teammates use it improperly and play inefficiently.

Yeah I've been combing the two, break los urban evade away. If two people are on a gen i find a different one. Its been tougher going against these play styles as killer. Spies may become meta 😂

Aren't crows not alerted when the survivor is crouching? I could be wrong.

Shoot, you right 🤦♂️

nah its not meta, just weaker survivors go towards stealth as they cant lead on chases.. due to everyone ranking up to red ranks you just see it more often. having said that its a terrible idea, you need someone to distract the killer and you need to learn to do chases or the killer will have an easier game, im not sure if you play killer but when i do it obvious which ones are stronger loopers/players within the first few seconds of chasing them. People that know loops are far stronger and harder to beat because they can waste so much time just for 1 hook depending on tile set-up and map. i personally dont enjoy the stealth style in this game, the chases are the most fun part as killer or survivor and if im playing survivor it usually lands on me to lead on the chases because my team cant. but less experienced players make it balanced i guess

I mean they do keep buffing stealth in the last couple of months.
Maps were made darker. New maps are especially dark and have lots of foliage (Yamaoka's, new Lery's, Deathslinger's map).
Sounds nerfed for killers (survivors are quieter, stronger sound occlusion), sounds buffed for survivors (increased the volume of killer's breathing, so now you can hear a Pig breathing from the opposite side of a jungle gym during chase).
The new lighting update made the ground brighter for survivor, but actually darkens it for killer.
etc etc.

Stealth gameplay is so boring. The exciting part of playing survivor is the chases with the killer, not hiding in bushes and crossing your fingers that they don’t see you. It’s also not exciting to run around and not find immersed survivors for three minutes.
Things like losing a killer in chase due to perks like Quick and Quiet/Dance with Me and actually being able to evade a killer without just crouching in the corner of the map is fine though, but immersed Blendettes on Yamaoka who crouch in the bamboo? *Resident sleeper*
Some changes like darker maps, quieter survivor sounds, louder killer breathing, etc...is just unnecessary to me personally.
I snooze....

Uhh, stealth was always meta.
It's just so stealthy that it's a very well hidden fact. 😉
