Noise?

Obviously I am asking this in the context of the game mechanics as it sounds silly in itself.

What do noise add ons DO? For Billy and Leather obviously. You can always see them about to use the saw so you know when to prepare etc.

So I don't really get what those add ons functions are? For Leather especially noise from far off would have absolutely no benefit to him. I used to think it would be for Billy coming in from far off but it can't be that if Leather also has it?

It would make sense if it like "hid" the raise of the saw animation from the survivor for the first 10% or something.

The simple answer is most of Bubba's add-ons just aren't very good. It does exactly what it says, reduces the radius at which survivors can hear the noise of the chainsaw. As you say, that's of limited use on Hillbilly, and almost completely useless on Bubba, which is why pretty much no one uses them outside of meme builds.

Thats unfortunate as it sounds utterly useless on both characters. I think it would be interesting if it actually did what I imagined it to do and sorta hide the saw revving for a short time. I knew about Leathers chili add ons being ACTUALLY useless but now I see the sound ones are too.

Really wish it didn't take years for easy to address issues to get looked at.

I agree. I do believe they have plans to adjust the add-ons for both Billy and Bubba, but no word yet on when that will happen.
