This will be slightly ranty so FYI

  1. Pig is not getting buffed anytime soon
  2. ONE of the licensed killers seems to be getting cosmetics
  3. The devs can't beat Freddy
  4. Speaking of Freddy, we still have absolutely no indication of when he is getting his buffs, most likely next year at this rate
  5. Their data supposedly tells them that Trapper is the most played killer. I beg to differ considering all the Billy's I play against

And last but certainly not least this is what irked me the most: Mathieu Cote ( BTW this is not an attack on him personally, I think he is just the voice for more of a team problem ) said, and this is not verbatim, basically killers are not designed around being viable, they are designed around being fun.

Uhhhhh what?

Is not the whole point of a killer being fun is that they are viable? For example I have great deals of fun with Billy, Clown and Hag, and guess what? They are all viable. Compare that to killers like Wraith, Freddy and Leatherface and I do not have fun and again guess what? These killers are NOT viable.

I'll be honest I don't think I even understood what he meant by saying that, doesn't that statement contradict itself?
"A killer doesn't have to be viable to be fun " I think many killer players feel quite differently to that view.

Nonetheless it is what it is I guess. Maybe no one will agree with me on this and that is fine, I just wanted to voice my opinion. .

Well the data is for all players not you snowflake.

I am intrigued by why you believe me a snowflake, I have clearly stated these are my opinions and yet YOU are the one coming in here making snarky comments.

In regards to the data about the killers I am merely making an observation from MANY gameplays I have both seen and played where Trapper is NOT used more than Billy.

If you must say something, say it constructively, or not at all.

    Good day

No, he said not every killer is designed to be top tier. Obviously he did not say they weren't designed to be viable.

Also, speak for yourself, I do great with Wraith and sometimes even with Freddy. Do not enjoy playing as LF.

Viability usually comes from top tier killers though.

Look at killers like Billy, Nurse and for some people Huntress and they are usually top tier and they are the killers mostly used at high rank

I am trying to get Leatherface buffed.

    I will not be denied

Viable does not mean top tier. "Capable of working successfully." Viable means it is possible to have a good game with that killer against good survivors.

I'm disappointed the Pig's stupid Ambush roar isn't going away. She'll never be a stealth killer because of it. It's so dumb that they even added the mechanic when it's better to just manually exit stealth 9/10 times to hit someone... y'know... exactly like Myers, but with a fat delay attached to your interactions?

Yeah but this is what I am saying, you look at the killer tier list right now and usually top tier is as I say Nurse Billy, Huntress and Hag. Which are all viable

Compare that to the other killers who are considered mid-tier ( I won't use low tier because most people know the low tier killers ) So, Doctor, Trapper, Myers etc. These killers against as you say good survivors are usually going to have a bad time, reducing their viability.

This is what I am getting at, Doctor for example can be fun I get that, but he is not viable against good survivors who know how to beat him. Now if he got buffed to make him more viable, then he would be MORE fun AND more useable.

This is my issue. I don't obviously want killers to NOT be fun in order to be viable I just don't want the focus to ONLY be on fun if that does end up costing viability.

Yeah, I want to respond to this to make sure I am not getting anything twisted with anyone. I don't have deep issues with the killers that have been, and I am sure are to be released.

It is just things like what you mention the Pig loses viability from certain things like this, making her less fun to play as. Do some buffs and she would still be fun but more viable on top of that. If you get what I am saying.

Feel I should step in here real quick I want a nice discussion about this, I expected disagreement and was fine and ready for it. All I ask is that in your disagreement you are civil. I am much more likely to change my view through a mature conversation.

    Thank you!

I cant believe i am defending bhvr. Ok context about the killers. This is a game so they make killers fun to play. The trapper maybe more prevalent in low ranks where more people play. Chill about freddy and pig buffs. You had two devs and two randoms vs freddy and not much teamwork. First off under a microscope they played fine. They are not streamers and may play the game but not as much as you. Work 8-10hrs and than come home and play no thanks. You are overreacting.
