Anyone notice a weird barrier at rank 14ish?

I've been doing a lot of grinding on killers to get a good feel of which killers I typically like/practice and grind out some teachables/blood points. I try to stay at low rank when I'm doing this, but when I get bored of grinding, I'll play a killer I'm better with like Billy. Then I typically start pipping until I get down to around rank 8 or so, then I'll derank back to about 13-14 and repeat this process. What's weird is the <10 ranks seem way easier than the rank 14 matches.

I've noticed a weird combination of players at low ranks (rank 14ish). When I'm at around 14, I'll either annhilate the team or I'll get annhilated. It also seems like I get these really coordinated SWF groups that stomp me at that low of a level. The survivors at these ranks seem really, really good. I mean, they are gen rushing with Ruin up and just overall looping way better than the average player. Then, once I hit rank 12 or so, games get a little more consistent and players maintain a steady skill of around the same level.

Just wondering if anyone has noticed this too?

It is because people are doing the same thing as you. They rather derank to get worst killers and than they would run into you. Also as the season goes on for this rank season you will start to see less and less people in the lower ranks and more towards the middle since most people don't derank. And for the people that do than you will run into them.

It's also probably because of the rank reset causing these players to drop to rank 14-15.

They are more than likely doing the same as you - deranking on purpose. Did you expect to annihilate everyone at every game?

Also please stop de-pipping on purpose, it ruins the games for newer players.

That's where killers and survivors that want to go down ranks, de-pip to now, since 15 is as low as they can go (Without a rank reset from 15), they will hover around 15-14...

Its kind of pathetic for either side to do it on purpose.

"I just want to have fun" blah blah.

    There is no excuse.

I don't. There's only 2 killers I'm okay with and have perks with, the rest are <level 10. I just suck with the rest of the killers. Instead of grinding my BPs on my good killers, I do it on the killers I'm bad with. I'm terrible with my new killers and I honestly don't have any incentive to stay higher rank. So I'll happily depip if it improves my gameplay in the long run.

I was just asking because these experienced survivors smash my newb killers. I'm still also relatively a newbie.
