Try before you buy killers?
I really think it would be good to be able to trial a killer before you buy them. Not so much fussed about survivors since they only really differ with perks. But all the killer powers play so differently. Maybe like a couple of games with someone then have to pay to unlock for more. Or a rotating free killer of the week on the shrine, think I've seen that in other games. Possible?

They had the "Splinter" offerings so you can try out the killers. But this offering has been retired like 2 months ago because no one used them.

They used to have offerings that you can buy in the bloodweb that lets you play as a purchaseable killer but I believe they removed them.

On mobile they've implemented killer and survivor tickets as log in rewards. These allow you to play any killer or survivor you havent unlocked yet. Maybe this could be implemented on the core game if they bring log in rewards to the game

really?? because no one used them?? no way! I was keeping dozens of them to use eventually and were removed without notice/compensation, too bad move DBD, biz greedy

idk why this isnt a thing in kyf it be great to test a killer and get used to them and see if you like them before you buy them.

It's kind of depressing how far ahead of the game the mobile team seems to be compared to the main team.

Same reason fighting games don't let you use characters in training mode if you don't buy them first.
It's a neat idea, but all it really does is give a player a reason not to buy the character. If they're on the fence and aren't sure, a business wants them to buy it and then be disappointed, not try it and realize they'd better not spend the money.

There are a few things on Mobile that I feel would be nice omin the core game. Bots for example. No one with be able to hatch tech by disconnecting so the last person can get hatch. And at least the killer will still have to hook and chase the bots while you have some time to get objectives done, instead of a survivor just disconnecting and the killer goes straight to you. Mobile is still way behind in terms of updates and new killers though

Exactly, bots were the other thing I was thinking of. The fact that I'm now also learning they have a way of testing licensed characters only makes their team seem even more superior.

I not sure that it was the reason, but they notified us like a week before the new patch. I play dbd 3 years and i saw splinter offerings literally 4-5 times.

Tbh, coming from the core game to mobile, the tickets aren't that useful because I already know how the killers act and how good there are during the game. But for new players, it's really good because they can test which killers are better and more comfortable to use

Thank the entity. I was sick of having to buy splinters for killers I already owned for 7k a pop on the killer it was the splinter for.

Its why I support a practice mode. Not only could you could test out different killers/perks/builds but you could practice with new killers instead of jumping into red ranks as a baby Nurse/Huntress.

Ooops I didn't see such notification

I think they had taken them out just because they were so broken. First the glitch that let you level the characters was out then when they "fixed it" they became unusable. I guess they just did not want to deal with it anymore
