Decisive Strike not activating after succeeding skillcheck

Issue: I was playing as survivor on an autohaven map, against The Legion. The killer picked me up and the skillcheck for DS appeared and I completed it, but it did not work and the killer kept walking with me and hooked me.
It just happened to me. I was playing Jane.
